Role Overview

 

Analytics Consultants play an exciting role in shaping analytics at HealthScape by developing and deploying cutting-edge capabilities to clients across the healthcare industry. Analytics Consultants support engagements by producing data-driven insights and developing analytic products that can be customized to meet client-specific use cases.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Execute analytics for ongoing and ad hoc consulting projects, including defining data needs, evaluating data quality, and executing analyses.
  • Support the ongoing use of developed analytics for a consulting engagement, including documentation, code maintenance and improvements, and colleague training.
  • Collect, parse, manage, analyze, and visualize large and disparate sets of data using multiple platforms.
  • Support efforts to design, build, deploy, and maintain data and analytics artifacts in our proprietary analytics environment including data models, code scripts, visualizations and dashboards, and statistical and advanced analytics models that support key business decisions.
  • Support the development of insightful narratives and presentations to communicate analytics insights and connect findings to business value for both technical and non-technical (e.g., business) stakeholders.
  • Effectively communicate and document analytical processes and results.
  • Ensure the security, confidentiality, and integrity of client information for yourself and the team.
  • Continually develop analytical and technical skills to support the advancing and evolving capabilities of HealthScape.
  • Support the continued development of data and analytics culture across HealthScape through knowledge share, cross-functional training, and mentorship.
  • Develop analytics and visualizations using self-service tools and consoles.

 

Qualifications and Desired Skills

 

  • 2-3 years of analytics experience, healthcare experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative or technology-related field of study (e.g., Business, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Analytics, or Informatics).
  • Previous experience executing analytics with programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Spark, PySpark, Scala) with deployment via notebook tools (e.g., Jupyter, Zeppelin)
  • Strong analytics skills including the ability to apply quantitative and statistical analysis techniques to unstructured problems.
  • Visualization and tool development expertise in Tableau, Looker, or other relevant libraries.
  • Sound critical thinking and problem-solving skills including the ability to identify, critically assess, and solve problems in a fast-paced, dynamic environment using logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills – possessing the ability to communicate and deliver complex analytics information to clients and executive audiences.
