Role Overview  

   

Senior Consultants play an integral role in teaching our junior colleagues, driving engagements forward, and providing exceptional outcomes for our clients. This role is based in Chicago, IL, and Senior Consultants are expected to spend a portion of their time in the HealthScape Chicago office.

  • Problem solvers and critical thinkers. Each project is unique – our teams are often solving complex and strategic problems with our clients. Our senior consultants have a proven ability to break down problems and translate them into clear research and data-driven insights and analysis.
  • Enthusiastic about learning. We staff our engagements in a generalist model – each project is an opportunity to learn new skills and healthcare industry segments. We gain exposure to a spectrum of client types, subject matters, and strategic challenges from project to project. A strong consultant is energized by learning.
  • Relationships builders. Senior consultants are valued members of project teams and are responsible for supervising and teaching more junior colleagues while supporting their project leadership team.

Qualifications and Desired Skills  

   

  • 3+ years working for a consulting firm or within professional services; healthcare consulting experience is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Effective team player who is comfortable working with clients and building new relationships.
  • Enthusiasm to continue learning, challenging the team, and enhancing existing strategic solutions.
  • Logical and structured thinker with the ability to apply critical thinking to ambiguous and unstructured problems.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Genuine interest in and commitment to the healthcare industry.
  • Experience in Excel and PowerPoint. Tableau and SQL experience a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Prioritization of confidentiality. Ensuring the security, confidentiality, and integrity of client information for yourself and your team.
  • Ability and willingness to travel when necessary. Estimated travel is approximately 40%. Travel is heavily project specific.
