We are searching for a Director of Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) and Nursing Initiatives to join our St. Margaret's team in Albany, NY.

St. Margaret’s Center is a 94 bed skilled nursing facility providing short-term, long-term and respite care to children and young adults with disabilities. The Director of QAPI and Nursing Initiatives will lead the facility wide Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) program and assist the Director of Nursing (DON) in the supervision, coordination, and daily operations of the Nursing Department.

The Director of QAPI and Nursing Initiatives is responsible for the development and monitoring of quality programs in conjunction with the Interdisciplinary Treatment Team.

The Director of QAPI and Nursing Initiatives works with facility management to establish and implement processes, reports and changes as needed related to QAPI and nursing practices, as well as maintaining overall facility regulatory compliance.

Requirements:

  • Associates Degree in field of Nursing, Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred
  • At least 3 years of job related experience, specifically as a Registered Nurse, 5 years of experience preferred
  • At least 2 years of job related experience, specifically in a Nursing Supervisor/Management position
  • Experience in long term care, Quality Assurance Improvement activities and conducting incident investigations is preferred
