Supervisor of Supported Employment

Many of the innovative programs and vital services that we offer are not available elsewhereWe are looking for a full time Supervisor of Supported Employment to become part of our Adult services Program.
Oversees and responsible for plan implementation, job development and developing community business connections. Supervises employment specialists who work in the field and has daily contact with employers. The Supervisor of Supported Employment may be responsible for the implementation of the individualized SEMP plans as described in the Life plans with the purpose of developing each person’s opportunities for self- determination, independent activity, increased productivity, and greater community inclusion.
May be responsible for oversight of program site and/or curriculum development. Oversees and ensures accuracy of documentation. Assists with program surveys, preparation and agency quality initiatives. Delivers and documents services accurately within the assigned group. Promotes independence, community inclusion, individualization, and productivity while respecting personal choice regarding lifestyle decisions and their ability to make informed risks.
Bachelor’s degree in field of Human Services or related field
Specialized training, license, certification, skills: Will be required to complete and demonstrate competency and certification in First Aid, CPR, SCIP-R and BIPP. Must complete center-wide, adult division, and program specific orientation. Training is provided by the Center. Requires NYS Driving License in good standing, use of personal vehicle and Road Test by agency trained staff.
2 years of job related experience is required, specifically working with people with developmental disabilities or related field.
Must be at least 18 years old and be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
1 year working in Supported Employment (knowledge of ACESS-VR, OPWDD and COB services and regulations)
