Sr Accountant
Description
- Prepare month-end close journal entries (which may include but are not limited to payroll, vacation accrual, cash, rent, debt, stock based comp, intangibles, prepaid assets, fixed assets, allocations, consolidation, commissions)
- Investigate monthly fluctuations and variances
- Maintain and reconcile certain balance sheet and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis
- Assist in government surveys, statutory audits, and consolidated audits
- Offer feedback on our current processes and suggest process improvements through automation
- Assist in preparation of monthly reporting package
- Assist in implementation of new accounting standards
- Assist in daily cash application for AR
- Manage/maintain our month-end close software
- Cross functional support on ad hoc projects
- Qualified financial accountant (CIMA/ACCA/AAT preferred)
- Five years of work experience (public/private mix is a plus)
- Experience with FloQast a plus
- Willingness to learn and jump in to help for different projects
- Team player who works well with others
- Proactive in nature especially leading up to and during month-end close
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational and stress management skills.
