As a Senior Software Engineer on the Platform team at Certain Affinity, you will be responsible for developing and owning services and infrastructure that support crypto-powered games. You will build inter-protocol blockchain systems to serve the infrastructural needs of application-level developers. You will work with members of the Platform team to create state-of-the-art software to handle millions of players in a fun and seamless game experience. This position is a unique opportunity to make a big impact working with a small team on cutting-edge blockchain networks around games.


  • Create, optimize, and maintain online services consumed by both internal and external customers
  • Build infrastructure and eliminate work through automation
  • Identify tools and approaches that will reduce complexity
  • Be an advocate for code quality and best practices
  • Interact with game teams and stakeholders to best understand their needs
  • 5+ years of experience in the fields of Computer Science or Software Engineering
  • Understanding of distributed systems, data structures, and algorithms
  • Programming experience in one or more general-purpose programming languages (e.g., Go, C/C++, Rust, Python, Java)
  • Experience building, operating, and solving problems with microservices
  • Familiar with CI/CD practices
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills
  • Comfortable synthesizing technical and non-technical objectives
  • A systematic and detail-oriented problem-solving approach

Extra Credit
  • Prior experience with blockchain technologies
  • Understanding of Linux/Unix operating systems
