Position Overview:

Our Learning & Development Manager will support the development, design, and delivery of the company’s professional development and on-boarding programs. Initially focused on sales and sales leadership, he/she will build out curriculum and tools tailored for sales professional employees in support of the company’s broader learning strategy.

 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and facilitate learning in multiple formats (e.g., classroom, virtual, self-study, quick reference reminders) focused on salesperson, leadership and professional development programs specific to Century Complete’s on-line selling platform and studio retail sales positioning that align with business goals and sales performance.
  • Develop and write curriculum through use of instructional design techniques; includes creating learning support materials (e.g., multimedia visual aids, e-learning, and training manuals, reference materials).
  • Partner closely with discipline leaders and subject matter experts in the initial and ongoing development and writing of new-hire and continuing education training programs in gaining deep understanding of content objectives.
  • Act as project/program manager as needed to ensure learning programs are rolled out effectively throughout Regions and Divisions
  • Develop evaluation procedures to monitor effectiveness of learning programs, and present program feedback accordingly
  • Support Regional and Division coaching efforts. Collaborate with Region sales leaders to structure and refine effective micro-skills training session content in monthly meetings
  • Partner with HR Manager in onboarding programs and continuing educations for other departments and disciplines upon the success launch of the sales curriculum.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Background:

  • Bachelor's degree and 5-7+ years of related industry experience. Significant experience in adult education and/or learning and development including instructional design techniques (curriculum development, creating and/or updating teaching aids, training manuals, multimedia visual aids, computer-based training materials and reference materials) preferred.
  • Collaborative and team-oriented: Experience as a learning partner that consults, researches, and recommends learning solutions
  • Strong facilitation, written and verbal communication, presentation skills
  • Strong professional presence
  • Experience with coaching for performance
  • Must be adept in the use of the Microsoft Office suite
  • Learning needs assessment and project management experience preferred
  • Driven for results and detail oriented.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and demanding environment
  • Travel is involved between Regions
