Position Summary: Inspire Home Loans (a Century Communities, Inc. company) is searching for a Regional Manager to join our management team. The Regional Manager is responsible for managing the relationship and communication between Century Complete and Inspire Home Loans. Has direct oversight and management of the backlog of business and the loan pipeline for his/her region. Responsible for operational excellence and regulatory compliance as it relates to the origination of mortgage loans for his/her team. Attends weekly backlog with Century Complete, with a strong focus on application and closing capture metrics. Provides daily supervision, support and oversight to ensure timelines are met, customer service standards are exceeded, workload priorities are established, and problems/exceptions are resolved. This position can be in Charlotte, NC, or Nashville, Tennessee.
Knowledge, Skills and Background:
Extensive understanding and advanced knowledge of mortgage technology.
Thorough understanding of mortgage loan documentation, mortgage loan processing, closing, underwriting requirements and regulatory compliance.
Ability to read and analyze AUS findings, research guidelines and collaborate to find solutions to challenging loan situations.
Pipeline Management and Quality Control; monitor and manage the timeliness and quality of the mortgage pipeline
Assigns, directs, coordinates, and reviews work of staff to ensure performance metrics are met for each loan officer and division
Clear understanding of the entire loan origination/processing life cycle.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
Detail oriented, time management and organizations skills.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business-related experience. Advanced degree or CMCP a plus.
Must have 5+ years of mortgage related experience, to include production, underwriting, operations.
3+ years’ experience with loan originations required
3+ years of supervisory or management experience, a plus.
Advanced knowledge of State and Federal mortgage lending laws and regulations to include, but not limited to: Fair Lending, HMDA, ECOA, TILA, RESPA, FCRA, Fraud Prevention, SAFE Act.
Experience reviewing AUS findings; finding alternative solutions as needed per Agency guidelines
Knowledge of loan products to include Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA and state bond programs.
Knowledge of with builder business recommended.
