The Center for Elders’ Independence (CEI) provides a Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (P.A.C.E.) which is a comprehensive healthcare model specifically designed for low-income, frail seniors. It combines medical and social services along with vigilant care planning and coordination in order to keep frail seniors safely living at home and in their communities. This unique and highly effective model utilizes an interdisciplinary team approach to care planning to drive high quality, affordable, integrated health care services to the elderly. With COVID-19, our mission to keep seniors out of nursing homes is now more important than ever!

As an Account Manager you will work independently in the field, developing account relationships and generating leads from industry partners and the community. Working in a collaborative environment you’ll receive the training, tools, and support you’ll need to effectively conduct follow-up appointments with qualified leads, conduct home and virtual assessments of prospective participants, prepare comprehensive case presentations, and generate new enrollment applications.

Responsibilities include:

Outbound calling

    • Make outbound calls and develop relationships to promote and educate senior housing, hospitals, and skilled nursing facilities about CEI and the PACE model of care.
    • Record outbound call history and prospect response in detail within CRM
    • Send or email product literature, brochures, and information to educate, build rapport and make connections
    • Identify new relationships and opportunities within the senior care industry and community

Relationship management

    • Cultivate and maintain relationships among business partners while also developing strategies to increase lead generation
    • Educate service coordinators, property managers and social workers about CEI and PACE
    • Work with service coordinators, social workers, and nurses to refer seniors who would benefit from joining a PACE medical and social services model
    • Host educational virtual and in-person presentations for residents and staff about the benefits of CEI and PACE

Follow up with referrals and prospects

    • Respond to prospect inquiries and referrals
    • Identify and document prospect needs and wants
    • Ensure consistent and timely customer follow-up
    • Conduct home visits or virtual meetings for prospect assessments
    • Give facility tours virtually and in-person

Use technology & tools effectively

    • Use Salesforce to create, maintain, and update database of prospects and accounts with complete information and emails
    • Use company supplied laptop, tablet, cell phone and other provided tools to effectively administer assessments and conduct business with prospects and accounts
    • Provide current daily / weekly / monthly reports as requested to track both individual productivity and potential leads

Meet monthly enrollment goals

    • Meet or exceed monthly assigned sales quota by accurately forecasting, effectively managing a pipeline of opportunities, and advancing prospects to participants
    • Work with enrollment team, program specialist and CEI health center staff to share information and facilitate the enrollment process


  • Follow federal CMS and California Department of Health Care Services regulations and policies regarding sales and marketing practices for senior services and Medi-Cal managed care products and PACE

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of three years’ sales & outreach experience in healthcare or related industry
  • Demonstrated experience in new account identification and prospecting
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • High proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce
  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business administration or a related field of study preferred
  • Experience working with senior and underserved populations preferred
  • Strong entrepreneurial drive and a motivation to succeed
  • Able to commute to accounts in the East Bay Area (Contra Costa & Alameda County)
  • A strong work ethic and the ability to work independently
  • Bilingual preferred: English/Spanish; English / Cantonese or Mandarin Chinese; English / Vietnamese or other
  • Driver's License (Required)

Center for Elders’ Independence is a PACE (Program of All- Inclusive Care for the Elderly) organization that uses an interdisciplinary team approach to care planning and care implementation for the purpose of providing high quality, affordable, integrated health care services to the elderly, including an Adult Day Health Center, and promoting autonomy, quality of life and the ability of individuals to live in their communities. Unlike other healthcare plans, CEI is not a "fee-for-service" plan. It is a a “capitation” healthcare plan. CEI is paid a set amount for each person enrolled in our program, whether or not that individual seeks care. We are a growing company that offers stability and continues to thrive.
