Position Job Title: Registered Massage Therapist Clinic Supervisor
Location: On site, CDI South Surrey (14928 56 Ave #112, Surrey, BC V3S 2N5)           
Reports To: Campus Director             
Job Status: Ongoing Part-time, must be eligible to work in Canada              
Compensation: Up to $40/hr            
Start Date: As soon as possible           
 
The purpose of the Registered Massage Therapist Clinic Supervisor is to lead and contribute to the academic success of students and to the success of the College in achieving its statement of purpose. Under general direction, the Registered Massage Therapist Clinic Supervisor is responsible for providing stage supervision and facilitating student learning according to the prescribed curriculum.
 
Job Responsibilities 
Specifically, the Registered Massage Therapist Clinic Supervisor will be responsible for
  • Monitoring and reviewing students during clinical placements
  • Evaluating student performance fairly and consistently
  • Supporting the administrative functions of the campus to enhance the student experience
  • Acting in a manner that upholds the College standards
 
Qualifications 
To be successful in the Registered Massage Therapist Clinic Supervisor position, individuals must be committed to developing, maintaining and demonstrating the following:
 
Education and Experience: 
  • Degree or diploma from a recognized University or College in a relevant discipline.
  • Two or more years’ experience in a related field, or the equivalent combination of education and teaching experience.
  • A minimum of 3000 hours of clinical experience/practice in the field of the instruction to be a Teaching Assistant
  • Current membership/license with relevant regulatory body preferred.
  • Satisfy specific position qualifications as prescribed in program design and program approval for the instruction of the courses. 
 
Skills and Abilities: 
  • Relevant industry skills and knowledge relating to the area of instruction.
  • Interest in pedagogical and multi-modal education approaches an asset.
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students.
  • High standards of behavior, a professional attitude and commitment to quality service.
  • Ability to consider and respond appropriately to the needs, feelings and capabilities of students, to provide feedback and treat students equitably.
