We are happy to say that we are looking for a “Practical Nursing Program Coordinator" to join CDI College in, Richmond BC. 

          
Position: Practical Nursing Program Coordinator          
Job Status: Full-time, Onsite          
Location: 4351 No. 3 Rd #290, Richmond, BC V6X 3A7          
Expected Start Date:  ASAP          
Reports to: Campus Director           
Working Hours: 40 Hours weekly           
Salary: CAD 75000 Annually         
          
WHAT WILL YOU DO?          
Specifically, the coordinator will be responsible for:          
  • Contributing to the Implementation of curriculum and instructional materials
  • Supporting the administrative functions of the campus to enhance the student experience.
  • Acting in a manner that upholds the College standards.
  • Participating in College and Program Activities
  • Monitoring and reviewing students during practicum and/or clinical placements, as the program requires.
  • Monitoring program development and improvement
  • Delivering instruction that meets module and program objectives as set out in the curriculum.
  •  Assist with the review and development of curriculum and instructional materials.
  • Managing instructors and staff to ensure the success of students in the program
  • Evaluating student performance fairly and consistently.
  • Overseeing program administration and operation to ensure students have an excellent
    learning experience
  • Delivering instruction that meets module and program objectives as set out in the curriculum.
          
WHY YOU?          
To be successful in the coordinator position, individuals must be committed to developing, maintaining, and demonstrating the following:          
Education and Experience:          
  • Current practicing license as an LPN or RN with BCCNM. 
  • Three to five years of recent and relevant practice experience in the field (Equivalent to full-time hours per year).
  • Degree or diploma from a recognized University or College in a relevant discipline.
  • A credential or willingness to pursue any of the following credentials in adult education from an accredited post-secondary institution:
    a) Provincial Diploma (PID) (those in progress must have an identified completion date).
    b) A formal educational equivalent to PID as described in the BC Transfer
    Guide http://www.bctransferguide.ca/docs/BCadultedbrochure.pdf (those in progress must have an identified completion date).

  • Satisfy specific position qualifications as prescribed in program design and program approval for the instruction of the courses. 
Skills and Abilities:          
  • Relevant industry skills and knowledge relating to the area of instruction, including ongoing professional development and continuous improvement.
  • Interest in pedagogical and multi-modal education approaches is an asset.
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills, including presentation and group facilitation.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students.
  • High standards of behavior, a professional attitude, and commitment to quality service.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with other instructors and staff.
  • Ability to consider and respond appropriately to the needs, feelings, and capabilities of students, to provide feedback, and to treat students equitably.
  • Learn and use technology to enhance the student learning experience.
