WHO WE ARE
CCS Fundraising is an international strategic fundraising firm that partners with nonprofits for transformational change. Since 1947, CCS has empowered many of the world’s greatest organizations across sectors to advance some of the most important causes in history. We plan, manage, and implement programs and initiatives that achieve fundraising goals and mission impact.

CCS provides tailored support to more than 700 nonprofit organizations annually. Headquartered in New York, the firm has over 600 professionals and 18 offices throughout the United States and Europe. Our people are our greatest strength. At CCS, you will join a diverse team of smart, passionate, and resourceful professionals who are driven by purpose and committed to performance.

UNDERSTANDING THE ROLE
CCS is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented professional to support the execution of business development activities for our Central US team. This behind-the-scenes role is ideal for someone with 2-3 years of experience who is eager to contribute to a high-impact growth strategy by supporting the team that drives it.

In this role, you will partner with senior business development leaders to bring strategy to life—drafting outreach for our executive team to send to nonprofit leaders, tracking and reporting on lead generation efforts, and coordinating small-scale events and targeted campaigns. You will not be responsible for setting the strategy, leading events, or managing external relationships directly. Rather, you’ll serve as an internal collaborator who ensures the execution of outreach, communications, and logistics is seamless, strategic, and effective.

Success in this position requires strong organizational skills, clear and professional writing, and the ability to manage multiple deadline-driven projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Partner closely with the Senior Director, Business Development and Vice President, Strategy to execute regional business development initiatives, ensuring alignment with the team’s goals and long-term strategic priorities
  • Support e-communications strategy and content creation, including developing and sending emails in partnership with our regional executive team to generate meetings with high-potential prospects
  • Identify and facilitate connections with high-potential prospects at regional conferences by developing onsite attendee guides and advancing pre- and post-conference outreach
  • Track and report on business development KPIs in HubSpot and Monday.com
  • Develop high-quality agendas, internal reports, and resources for meetings with executive leaders to communicate updates and impact, review content, and advance business development goals
  • Plan and execute regional in-person events, including working with our regional executive team to develop content, supporting the development of invitation lists to ensure key audience inclusion, organizing onsite logistics, and leading follow-up activities and outreach to ensure strong event ROI
  • Proactively identify nonprofit news, development leadership transitions, and/or industry trends that may present emerging areas of opportunity and actionable avenues for pursuing new business
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Two-to-three years of relevant work experience
  • Proven ability to lead and manage projects from inception to conclusion
  • Strong time management, project prioritization, and organizational skills
  • Experience planning and executing small-to-medium-scale events
  • Outstanding writing skills, and effective presentation design skills
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to collaborate across teams and stakeholders
  • Ability to adapt content and messaging for multiple audiences and purposes
  • Ability to balance a myriad of tasks and deadlines efficiently, and with attention to detail
  • Demonstrated resourcefulness and self-directed behavior
  • Hands-on approach with a proven “make-it-happen” mindset
  • Philanthropic values and a commitment to mission-driven work
  • Proficiency with MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Zoom
  • Experience with HubSpot, Monday.com, NetSuite, Canva and/or Navan a plus
