UNDERSTANDING THE ROLE
The CCS New England Office is seeking a self-motivated, reliable, and detail-oriented Client Onboarding & Operations Coordinator to work collaboratively with our nonprofit partners to onboard new engagements, support consultants in new assignments, and support the Executive and Strategy & Operations teams.
As part of the CCS New England team, you will help launch engagements with nonprofits of all shapes and sizes across the region, including getting new projects off the ground, collaborating with clients on case messaging strategy, informing project sequencing, and encouraging best practices, especially for feasibility studies and development assessments. The role also includes maintaining three executive calendars and offering additional support to the Strategy & Operations team. This is a client-facing role with significant interactions and collaboration with executives on the New England team.
The successful candidate is extremely organized, communicative, detail-oriented, energetic, and calm under pressure, while managing multiple projects at once. This is a full-time role with the expectation of the ability to commute to the Boston office once a month or as needed. ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Client Onboarding
  • Serve as a project manager for nonprofit clients in the initial phases of project activity.
  • During the initial phase of a project, be the central point of contact between the nonprofit client and the CCS team.
  • Support relationship building and make a strong first impression on our nonprofit partners.
  • Lead in the scheduling, design, execution, and facilitation of all initial planning calls and meetings with new nonprofit clients.
  • Develop the foundational materials that will guide the projects with nonprofit clients, including work plans and other operational project tools.
  • Partner with nonprofit clients in the development of preliminary case statements, including collecting key materials, gathering insights through conversations, and workshopping document drafts with executive oversight.
  • Guide nonprofit clients in collecting data and materials to support robust data analysis, serving as the liaison between the nonprofit client and the CCS Analytics team.
  • Write and design donor-facing materials required for client onboarding, including agendas, presentations, and memos.
  • Review and understand contracts, deliverables, and project timelines in order to kickstart projects and meet deadlines in advance of assigning a CCS consultant to the project.
  • Support both the nonprofit client and CCS team in all aspects of project setup and implementation.
  • Facilitate the transition of each onboarding engagement to a CCS consultant.
Strategy & Operations
  • Maintain three executive team calendars, including interfacing with internal and external audiences, managing and prioritizing requests, and responding to scheduling emails in a timely manner.
  • Assist with proof reading, data entry, and client and CCS team training, as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The firm seeks talented professionals passionate about impacting the nonprofit sector. Ideal candidates will possess excellent project management, writing, communication, design skills, and strategic planning to contribute to the development of client onboarding materials and resources in a fast-paced corporate environment.
 
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent along with one to two years of relevant experience preferred
  • Strong project management, time management. and organizational skills
  • Exceptional communication skills, writing, and proofreading
  • Able to adapt writing and design for multiple audiences and purposes
  • Creative, resourceful, and meticulous attention to detail
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to build trust and work collaboratively with nonprofit clients and CCS colleagues with multiple management styles
  • High degrees of resourcefulness and responsiveness
  • Self-starter able to drive activity in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Creative and design skills and experience are a plus
  • Knowledge of fundraising and nonprofit sector is a plus
