UNDERSTANDING THE ROLE
The Vice President, Regional Strategy is responsible for the overall strategy and deployment of all business growth functions, including marketing, business development, and sales enablement. They are a direct partner to the EVP, S&O West on ensuring customized design and execution of the regional growth plan.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Regional Growth
- Work with Managing Partner and EVP, S&O to develop and execute regional growth strategies in alignment with firm-wide business development and marketing goals
- Collaborate with the VP, Business Development Strategy (corporate) to ensure the customization of all market and sector expansion planning at the regional level
- Analyze market trends, client needs, and competitive positioning to inform strategic priorities and resulting initiatives
- Collaborate with corporate and regional leadership to identify and pursue additional high-impact growth opportunities
Department Management
- Directly manage leaders overseeing the Marketing, Business Development, and Sales Enablement verticals
- Provide hands-on coaching to ensure high functioning teams
- Manage weekly meetings with direct reports and ad-hoc skip-level and department meetings
- Manage mid-year S&O professional development conversations and support focal reviews
- Consult with the EVP, S&O on personnel matters (hiring, firing PIPs, etc.)
Functional Priorities
- Partner with the Regional Executive Leadership Team to scope and price new engagements, in coordination with corporate leadership and consistent with the firmwide pricing menu
- Directly support the region’s brand presence, lead generation, and revenue growth by partnering with corporate Business Development, Marketing, and Business Intelligence Leaders
- Ensure all client-facing team members are equipped with the tools, insights, and support needed to win new business and expand existing relationships
- Develop and facilitate sales enablement initiatives to support a highly effective sales team
- Partner with the EVP, S&O to ensure deployment of all firm-wide strategy frameworks, processes, protocols, and supporting systems
- Develop regional prospect engagement plans that combine marketing, business development, and sales enablement priorities
- Directly resource market expansion targets and resulting strategy development
- Directly resource new business expansion and growth strategy initiatives to ensure thoughtful design and implementation
- Find efficiencies in operational deployment to maximize activities and impact
- Leverage firm-wide KPIs and complement with regional KPIs to ensure impact of all initiatives underway
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Strategy, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in marketing, business development and/or sales strategy/sales enablement
- 3-5 years of experience managing a team in a leadership capacity
- Proven ability to develop cohesive market strategies that drive revenue growth
- Experience with standing up regional business development plans, sales enablement programs, leading marketing strategies and teams, and/or past work with proposal management
- Proficiency with data-driven decision making
- Comfort presenting to and building relationships with Partners and other leaders
- Exceptional ability to craft compelling narratives that resonate with target audience
- Familiarity with CRM platforms, marketing automation tools, and other sales enablement platforms
- Ability to track and report on progress against Key Performance Metrics

SALARY RANGE: $110,000 - $150,000
The exact salary varies within range based on years of relevant experience and education.
