We are looking for an Anaplan Solution Architect that will own the Anaplan environment, ensuring the maintenance of existing models and leading the development of future model builds.  The Anaplan Solution Architect will hold a critical role in the development, execution, and continuous improvement of the tools needed for the annual budgeting process, monthly reporting, and forecasts to name a few.

This role, while reporting to the finance team, will also have direct interaction with IT to ensure proper understanding of internal systems and data as well as ensure the accuracy and completeness of data flow between systems.

The Anaplan Solution Architect will:

  • Translate existing solutions, spreadsheets, business processes, and business problems into complex multi-dimensional models in Anaplan.
  • Create efficiency in multi-functional reporting processes by building multi-dimensional models consistent with Anaplan development best practices.
  • Define requirements for building new and updating existing models in Anaplan to translate user stories into configured Anaplan solutions.
  • Lead testing and deployment of new Anaplan models.
  • Develop dashboards supporting defined KPIs.
  • Maintain Anaplan models, incorporating new functionality and fixing issues in production to support business objectives and initiatives.
  • Facilitate ongoing improvement to the organization’s ability to access real-time data analytics and insights.
  • Develop technical model documentation (SOPs).
  • Maintain security and workflow processes.
  • Develop and deliver timely end user training.
  • Participate in data integration efforts between internal systems and Anaplan.
  • Protect company assets through the proper management of asset files and adherence to company policy with regard to information security and management.

  

If you want to be one of us... 

 

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • 3-5 years proven experience with Anaplan model builds.  Experience to include:
  • 3+ years with end-to-end implementations with focus on FP&A functionality and workforce planning.
  • Experience in model builds outside of FP&A (supply chain/demand planning, sales).
  • 2+ years in finance function or equivalent Anaplan experience where focus has been specific to supporting the finance team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including technical writing skills; ability to switch contexts between highly technical and business-focused topics quickly and easily.
  • Ability to quickly understand and decompose financial, business, and technical concepts.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills and ability to take large data sets and organize and structure to support the decision-making process.
  • Innovative and continuous improvement mindset with the ability to translate a complex business operations landscape into a streamlined process design.
  • High attention to detail and scrutiny of discrepancies that drives conversations to develop better solutions.
  • Team player with the ability to partner cross-functionally with business stakeholders.
  • Change management skills and ability to work in ambiguous situations, including the ability to drive others to adapt to a changing environment.
  • Project Management Skills / Certifications a plus
  • Own and manage the company’s relationship with Anaplan.  Understand planned software upgrades and enhancements and disseminate Anaplan information to key stakeholders in the organization.

 

 

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Technology, or Information Systems is required.
  • Anaplan Certified Solution Architect accreditation required.
