The Creative Licensing Coordinator supports the development and approval of licensed products across multiple categories—including toys, apparel, accessories, home, collectibles, and publishing. This role serves as a key bridge between Lumistella’s Creative, Product Development, and Licensing teams, as well as external licensee partners. The coordinator ensures all product concepts authentically reflect Lumistella’s storytelling, maintain character integrity, and uphold brand standards throughout the entire product lifecycle. The Creative Licensing Coordinator will:
- Review product concepts, mock-ups, packaging, and pre-production samples in partnership with Creative Licensing team members.
- Provide clear, actionable creative notes related to character likeness, composition, color usage, typography, and narrative alignment.
- Route submissions through internal creative, product, and legal teams to ensure timely feedback and approvals.
- Track revisions and approval statuses across all stages of the product development process.
- Collect and summarize feedback from internal stakeholders, ensuring accurate and consistent communication to licensees.
- Maintain the visual integrity of Lumistella brands across all licensed products.
- Verify artwork accuracy, on-model poses, approved color palettes, and overall brand expression.
- Identify off-model issues, inconsistencies, or deviations from brand standards and work with partners to resolve them efficiently.
- 60% Project Management, 30% Design Review & Art Direction, 10% Design
Project & File Management
- Manage and track all creative submissions, artwork files, and reference materials within Adobe Workfront.
- Monitor approval stages, deadlines, and deliverables to ensure timely progress across all partner projects.
- Maintain digital asset management (DAM) libraries, ensuring files are current, organized, and accessible.
- Confirm that licensees receive the correct and most up-to-date creative assets.
Creative Asset & Style Guide Support
- Assist in the creation, updating, and organization of style guides, art packs, and other digital assets for licensee use.
- Prepare production-ready design files, character art, logos, patterns, and layout templates.
- Ensure all creative materials follow Lumistella’s brand standards & character models.

- Strong understanding of character modeling, brand identity, and visual standards.
- Keen eye for composition, color theory, layout, typography, and storytelling through design.
- Ability to evaluate artwork for accuracy, consistency, and brand alignment.
- Adobe Illustrator (strong proficiency)
- Adobe Photoshop (strong proficiency)
- Adobe InDesign (working knowledge)
- Adobe Workfront knowledge is a plus
- Digital Asset Management proficiency
- Licensed Consumer Products experience is a plus
- Protects company assets through the proper management of asset files and adherence to company policy with regard to information security and management.
Education requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required in related fields such as Graphic Design, Communication Design, Visual Arts, or related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
