Title: Solutions Engineer – Food and Nutrition

Location: Remote

Brief summary of the position:  The Solutions Engineer – Food and Nutrition is a key technical and strategic resource responsible for supporting presales activities related to our food and nutrition software solutions. This role involves deep engagement with potential clients to understand their unique foodservice and patient feeding needs, demonstrating how our software can streamline their operations, improve patient and resident safety and satisfaction, and ensure compliance with healthcare standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively participate in presales engagements, including discovery calls, solution workshops, and live product demonstrations tailored to individual organization’s needs.
  • Lead consultations for existing and new clients to understand food and nutrition needs and operational goals. 
  • Provide expertise in foodservice processes, industry standards, and software applications, addressing client concerns and needs and aligning the software with best practices in food and nutrition to improve efficiency, patient and customer safety and satisfaction, and compliance with dietary requirements.
  • Demonstrate the software’s functionality, emphasizing how it can optimize food operations specific needs, enhance nutritional management, and ensure compliance with healthcare and food service regulations.
  • Collaborate with sales team to develop customized solutions and proposals that align with client goals.
  • Complete technical documents to include security questionnaires and RFP responses.
  • Offer feedback to product development teams based on client interactions to support continuous improvement and ensure the solution remains relevant and impactful.

 

Required Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in institutional food service, with a focus on nutrition-related operations.
  • Knowledge of healthcare dietary regulations and standards such as HACCP, HIPAA, and Joint Commission requirements. 
  • In-depth knowledge of food and nutrition software applications with strong technical knowledge in software configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex technical information into accessible, client-focused narratives.
  • Ability to build rapport and trust with diverse stakeholders to effectively address organizational needs throughout the presales process.
  • Experience in a presales or client-facing consulting role preferred.
  • Certification in Nutrition & Dietetics (e.g., RD, LD) or equivalent dietary management experience. 

 

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience using CBORD food management software
  • Experience consulting with clients on food operations and processes

Base salary offers for this position may vary based on factors such as location, skills, and relevant experience. Some positions may include additional compensation in the form of bonus, equity, or commissions.
