Supervisory Responsibilities: Yes____ No__X___
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Other duties may be assigned:
- Responsible for developing and developing and teaching scheduled dance/visual arts production instruction classes at COMPASS PS 132
- Producing events for major events
- Organizing a youth production team presentations.
- Recruitment.
- Keeping and updating participant files.
- Keeping daily attendance for all courses. Entering the weekly attendance on the DYCD online system.
- Attend all weekly staff meetings.
- Inform Program Director of changes or any irregularities.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a part-time position paying $25 an hour

- Ability and patience to work with children and young people, recognizing their exuberance and juvenile behavior, particularly in group settings.
- Remain in a stationary position while monitoring activities.
- Move for long periods, providing instruction.
- Travel when taking field trips, using public transportation, traverse city streets, ascend/descend stairs, and be exposed to outside weather conditions, while escorting youth.
Qualifications:
Education and/or experience required:
- High School Diploma or GED, working towards AA or BA degree.
- Minimum attainment of a Black Belt Degree in a particular style with strong knowledge of Martial Arts
- Experience teaching and organizing tournaments and working with youth.
Skills, Licenses, and/or competencies required:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Compensation-$25.00/hr
