PURPOSE:
This position is responsible for the design of business processes and configuration of the ERP system for the Warehouse operations areas of the Business. The D365 Business Lead is responsible for being the liaison between Branch Operations/Warehouse functional areas and the Information Technology Team for the development and support of operational business processes. This individual will utilize their experience in implementing and supporting D365 applications with proven business, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to support the customized development, user training, testing, deployment and post go-live support activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (performs other duties as assigned):
- Lead the design and configuration of operations modules for D365 F&O for Forecast and Planning, Procure to Pay, Plan to Produce, and Transportation processes.
- Work closely with business users to conduct end-to-end business process discovery, requirements gathering, process documentation, configuration, and implementation management of D365 other related business applications.
- Create and maintain functional design documents, future state business process flows and user operating procedures by roles. Perform fit/gap analyses and recommend optional solutions.
- Work closely with the technical teams to define and implement customizations and integrations.
- Play an active role with Systems Integration partner in requirements gathering, fit/gap analysis and designing gap solutions.
- Lead setups and testing of EDI processes.
- Create test plans, test scripts and lead testing activities during CRP's, UAT, Release upgrades
- Support data migration ETL & validation activities
- Provide user documentation, training and support during and after D365 implementation.
- Collaborate with D365 System admin, review, enable applicable new features & support testing for D365 release upgrade.
- Stay current with the latest trends in D365 technologies and integrations.
- Mentor and grow junior functional analysts.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5-7 years' experience in D365 F&O with at least 2 implementations in a lead role.
- Experience in EDI heavy Manufacturing to lead D365 operations at global locations.
- Strong cross functional knowledge in Sales, Procurement, Planning, Manufacturing and Warehouse management modules
- Familiarity with Agile implementation methodologies and in using Azure DevOps
- Leadership skills in leading a team of functional analysts and consultants during D365 F&O implementation and after go-live
- Ability to travel during implementation projects.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in a global setting, both in person and in remote
- Flexible attitude toward work schedule and requirements
- Agility to work in a fast-paced environment independently and in teams.
