Description
Merged forces, Castle Metals and Banner Industries, a global leader in the metals distribution space, is seeking an Operations Assistant to join their team in Warsaw, Indiana.
The Operations Assistant is based out of the Warsaw, IN branch and will report directly to the Operations Manager in Warsaw.
The Operations Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to the operations function of the branch.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Essential Primary Responsibilities:
- Maintains accurate records for operations by managing/updating electronic records and filing.
- Verifies correct location of inventory in rack system and floor.
- Maintains the production schedule utilizing the control board of sales orders to ensure order allocations are maintained.
- Assists with packing/shipping/routing correspondence and materials.
- Gathers and organizes information for reports.
- Assists in training new employees as requested.
- Performs other administrative work as assigned.
Physical Demands/Working Conditions:
- General office environment, PC use
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Experience: Type, Skills, and Years:
- Basic math skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent computer skills with strong data entry knowledge
- Good organizational abilities
Required Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
- One year of production scheduling in a warehouse environment
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
