Position: The Environmental Director will partner with employees to implement and maintain the environmental program to promote compliance with regulations and company policies. 
Location: Main office in Kearny, NJ. The position is hybrid with 60% New Jersey and surrounding area fieldwork required, and at least one day per week (Thursday) in the office in Kearny.
Pay: $90,000-$140,000

Key Responsibilities: Support corporate environmental programs. Ensure compliance with erosion & sediment control requirements, NPDES, SPCC, RCRA, EPCRA and other regulatory and corporate environmental programs.
Specific knowledge, skills, abilities and experience include:
  • Contract review for potential environmental impacts and permitting requirements
  • Good working knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations in the Tri State area
  • Ability to interpret and implement Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) permit and construction stormwater permit requirements.
  • The assertiveness to ensure environmental compliance requirements are met by others, while considering the spirit and letter of the law
  • Conduct at least 2 field inspections per week to ensure contract, permit, and environmental compliance
  • Instruct field crews on requirements and any noted deficiencies
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

Education Requirements
Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience working with and implementing environmental regulations.
