Job Description:
Underground smoke testing is used to detect deficiencies in sewer pipes and the sewage system. This person will need to identify water infiltration sources including roof downspouts, yard drains and drainage systems using a smartphone or tablet. All training to be provided.
Position: Survey Crew Member
Type of Work: Temporary 6–8-week project.
(Potential to go full time)
Where: Berkeley, CA
Hours: Monday-Friday 8 hours per day
Pay: $60-$70 per hour
Job Duties:
- Walking multiple miles per day.
- Finding defects in sewer lines.
- Reading map of the job location.
- Logging any data found in a computer or tablet.
Requirements:
- Able to pass work physical, drug test and background check.
- Willing to work outside in demanding conditions.
- Must be able to read a map.
- Ability to enter data into a computer system.
- Read and speak English.
