Position Description 
The Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager is responsible for leading the Company's EHS program, which include environmental impact planning, safety training/enforcement, DOT compliance programs and general liability management. This position helps to foster and sustain a safe working environment and ensures training is developed and conducted throughout the company to increase safety, productivity, and reliability for our customers.

Location: Chester, PA
 
Pay: $70,000-$90,000 per year (Pay is negotiable)

Essential Job Functions 
· Maintain and direct an active safety training program, including Monthly EHS meetings and annual safety training.
· Be part of MDVP management team to help integrate EHS working procedures into all aspects of job site planning and implementation.
. Maintain safety files, disciplinary files, accident investigation files
· Enforce corporate EHS programs by conducting field visits to job sites.
· Respond to DOT inquires and citations.
· Manage and train personnel in the safety instructions.
· Schedule and conduct monthly safety audit inspections.
· Schedule and coordinate biennial employee physicals and annual audiograms.
· Coordinate and assist in scheduling First Aid/ CPR, AED, and specialty training.
· Conduct new hire orientation.
· Investigate and prepare reports of accidents/injuries that occur including employee personal injury, property damage, and near-miss incidents.
· Monitor and restock safety supplies.
· Maintain and distribute personal protective equipment including respirators, hearing protections, hard hats, safety glasses, and fall protection.
· Develop and maintain communications with local medical facilities regarding restricted duty work programs available to employees injured on the job.
· Maintain current working knowledge of all applicable OSHA, DOT, FMCSA and EPA Standards.
· Interact with Insurance company & attorneys on Workman Comp. and General Liability occurrences.
. Creating, implementing and maintaining a companywide driver training program. 
Develop and administer the facility Health and Safety management systems including employee participation, employee health, hazard analyses, safe operating procedures, training, risk management, loss control, spill prevention, hazardous waste, DOT hazardous materials, emissions, emergency planning (EPCRA) and all other key system elements. 
. Planning, developing and implementing environmental strategies and policies through-out the company. 
. Conducting environmental research. 
. Staying up to date with news in environmental issues such as natural disasters. 
. Raising awareness in the company of environmental issues. 
. Coordinating or attending public hearings, conferences, and events on environmental issues.
 
Qualifications 
· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
· 5-7 years General Industry or Construction Safety experience.
. Bilingual is a plus. (English and Spanish) 
· Current OSHA 500 certificate preferred.
· Strong leadership qualities.
· Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office products.
· Knowledge, understanding, and compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations relating to job duties.
· Knowledge of completing drivers’ files per FMSCA regulations and Hours of Service Rules required.
· Ability to travel as needed
