Job Details

 As a member of the Product Management team, the Group Product Manager is responsible for the success of their product portfolio with a proven ability to strategize the full lifecycle of product development and deployment from conception through release.  This position requires an aspirational leader who thrives in a cross-functional team environment and has the vision to be the ‘CEO’ of a product portfolio and lead others in that vision.

 Essential Job Functions:

  •  Manage the product segment throughout the Product Lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with a cross-functional team to deliver winning products
  • Drive the execution of all product lifecycle processes for products, including product research, market research, competitive analysis, planning, positioning, roadmap development, requirements development, and product launch
  • Develop and drive go-to-market strategies to achieve financial and strategic targets
  • Champion the product segment strategy, roadmap, and execution across customer verticals
  • Conduct voice-of-customer and market research to identify opportunities to ideate
  • Drive strategy through prioritization to create and position compelling growth plans
  • Facilitate and lead product evolution and implementation
  • Collaborate closely with development, product, marketing, and sales teams on the development, QA, and release of products and balance of resources to ensure success for the entire organization
  • Lead and collaborate with direct reports and/or at all levels of the organization

Essential Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Product Management experience in an agile environment
  • 3+ years of quantitative skills with the ability to link product design and features to strategic objectives while using hard data and metrics to substantiate assumptions and recommendations
  • 2+ years experience with people management, coaching and leading others is considered an asset
  • 2+ years product experience in various verticals including, but not limited to banking, insurance or consumer is considered an asset
  • Strong communication skills, negotiating and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to drive projects forward and ability to effectively communicate progress and/or barriers to Scrum Master and stakeholders
  • Experience with Big data technologies (Hadoop, Apache Spark, NoSQL, Mongo DB) considered an asset
