Product Marketing Managers are responsible for managing a specific product category (automotive accessories, soft goods, LED lighting and other mass market consumer goods) and develop new products through comprehensive consumer and product knowledge and insight and build strong brand equity by executing effective consumer communication plan and coordination with retailers. This role reports to the Brand Leader.
Product Marketing Managers will also manage a specific product category and develop new products through comprehensive data driven insights, paired with consumer product knowledge. They will contribute to building strong brand equity by executing effective consumer communication plans and coordination with retailers. We are looking for Product Marketing Managers with knowledge of consumer electronics, specifically cameras to work on the Tiny Traveler brand and development, knowledge of partnerships and licensing to lead, grow and develop our current Licensed Brands in the soft goods automotive space, and knowledge of batteries/electronics for our Jump Charger product line. We are also looking for a Product Marketing Manager for our KODA lighting brand.
Major Responsibilities
- Focus on maintaining, developing, and defining the product(s) within specific categories, and maintain a category strategy (under the direction of the Brand Leader) to support growth and profitability targets
- Support the category growth strategy through consumer, market & brand understanding
- Manage and set product lifecycle, roadmap, and product vision
- Perform competitor analysis and develop defensive/offensive plans
- Identify customer pain points to target and align product requirements accordingly
- Research and track market competitive trends to remain vigilent of category developments
- Set and manage P&L targets by categories and channels under the direction of the brand manager
- Analyze performance across the various channels including sales data, market share, and shopper insights
- In collaboration with the Brand Manager, the Product Marketing Manager will develop and execute the category marketing plan, including developing strategies to communicate with consumers and retail channels
- Develop and direct marketing/sales collateral such as sell sheet, brochures; etc.
- Prepare and lead line meeting presentations for a retail buyer audience in conjunction with the brand manager and sales
- Deliver technical info on new and upcoming products for various channels. Inclusive of product manuals, social media, product packaging, website, etc.
- Work closely with product development and R&D teams
- Influence product development from an end-user and overall market perspective
- Work on pricing, and go-to-market strategies in collaboration with the Brand Manager
- Become the subject matter expert on assigned category, market and products
Required Education and Experience
- 5 years relevant work experience in marketing and branding (consumer electronics, consumer goods; including automotive accessories, ideally jump starters) including but not limited to product management, new product development, development & execution of a marketing plan, and budget management
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, business or related field (Master’s degree or MBA degree a plus)
- Retail channel industry knowledge and experience

- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proven experience working in reporting software to analyze metrics and support ROI (Advanced Excel skills, Tableau, or PowerBI a bonus)
- Flexible and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in market research and quantitative analysis
- Ability to coordinate with international office in Hong Kong and travel as needed
Preferred:
- Big Box retail experience (Costco, Target, Best Buy, Autozone…)
- Knowledge of brand licensing, collaboration and partnership marketing
- Knowledge of ecommerce platforms and online marketplaces
- Experience in infant or baby products industry a huge bonus
