The Associate Event Manager works closely with Product Marketing Managers and the Brand team to coordinate, develop, and execute event logistics and deliverables for approximately 15-20 events per year for our automotive brands initially (www.typesauto.com www.mytinytraveler.com). The scope and type of event may range significantly from trade shows, sales events, special consumer events, Formula Drift racing activations and product launches. This role reports to the VP of Brand.

 

Main responsibilities:

 

  • Represent Horizon Brand’s core values of integrity, quality, creativity, collaboration, accountability and respect.
  • Plans and executes events and experiential marketing activities, including venue and vendor sourcing, contract negotiations, budgeting, food & beverage, audio visual production, product and exhibit load-ins, attendee registration, transportation, installation and dismantle labor and on-site execution.
  • Act as a liaison to Product Marketing Managers, creative teams, internal stakeholders, and other event contributors to ensure event success.
  • Support in-house and third-party events onsite requiring some weekends and travel as necessary
  • Research and maintain relationships with vendors for event support services
  • Demonstrable interest in the full cycle of event management: planning, execution, and reporting on outcomes
  • Able to work independently at all stages of the event management cycle, including dealing with third-party vendors and partners as required.
  • Maintain proficiency in the ability to package & ship products to the office and or other field locations
  • Ability to develop and manage event budgets, set goals, and price events.
  • After the event, gather feedback from participants, evaluate outcomes, and report findings to the relevant stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of the role experiential marketing plays in brand management
  • Unique eye for catching upcoming market trends and how the brands may be able to reach new audiences that will present first-to-market opportunities for the business
  • Understands the importance of diversity and inclusion by embedding thoughtful communication within every interaction and engagement
  • Participates in hotel, venue, and vendor contracting and negotiations, securing the best possible terms and cost savings.
  • Contributes to the generation of solutions and recommendations and the preparation of presentations to internal stakeholders.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in event coordination, project management and logistics.
  • Bachelor’s level degree in Marketing, Communications or Hospitality is preferred.
  • Strong problem resolution skills.
  • Attentive to detail, accuracy, and record-keeping.
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously with competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Able to multi-task and organize workload for effective implementation.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures.
