Internship Description
Our internship program is designed to create an environment of learning for the intern. Our program consists of two parts. The initial portion of the program includes completing some specialized projects within the student’s area of study. These projects are well defined and outlined with specific outcomes that allow the student to apply classroom knowledge in a real work environment. The second project will be a joint project with other interns enabling them to work as a cross functional group to solve a company issue of their choice.
Candidates must be available for 7 consecutive weeks during the summer months, dates to be determined.
Responsibilities
The Operations intern will assist with preparing for our main warehouse re-location by working closely with Operations and our main 3PL Planning Team. He or she will assist in maintaining project timelines, cost analysis and optimizing space based on future customer requirements to meet Sales goals. Some of the specific responsibilities include the following:
• Review and update current processes
• Work closely with Operations and Ryder Team to look for and identify opportunities for improvement as we move to a larger warehouse.
• Specific focus will be on cost savings opportunities – Returns process and throughout
• Learn and help develop enlargement of ecommerce functions
