Sr IT Business Analyst

We are currently looking for a Sr IT Business Analyst, who will be responsible for assisting with the implementation and maintenance of all business and e-commerce systems to implement and support and the Horizon Brands strategy.  The Sr IT Business Analyst will report to the VP Information Technology.

Major Responsibilities

  • Provide and maintain the SAP Business One system from a business applications perspective
  • Design, develop, and deploy SQL and Crystal-based application reports
  • Review, evaluate, deploy, interface, and maintain any and all e-commerce solutions from an overall management and support perspective
  • Develop and provide for software user guides and procedures as required
  • Create training materials and conduct informal training sessions for various IT solutions
  • Support and interface with all departments within the Horizon Brands
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend new IT solutions to promote productivity, collaboration, and operational efficiency across the organization
  • Assist and interface with outside IT vendors regarding e-commerce, ERP, and IT Help Desk
  • Assist in maintaining any departmental administrative record keeping and documentation
  • Assist and support initiatives, projects, and task assignments as directed by the supervisor

Competencies

  • Consumer products industry experience across multiple companies
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated success in multi-tasking on several major initiatives concurrently
  • Strong written and documentation skills, including writing software user guidelines
  • Willing to work on a variety of business platforms and solutions
  • Experience working in $100M to $300M+ sized entrepreneurial company
  • Exceptional strong work ethic with ability to do what it takes to get the job done
  • Outstanding communication abilities

Required Education and Experience

 

  • BS/BA in computer science, engineering, or relevant field or equivalent prior experience working in a consumer goods distribution organization
  • Broad knowledge of business processes including sales and distribution, supply chain management, procurement, general ledger, inventory management, and accounts payables/accounts receivables.
  • Strong familiarity with B2B and B2C and e-commerce systems such as Shopify, Channel Advisor
  • Five (5) years’ experience with SQL programming, preferably with MS SQL Server
  • Five (5) years’ solid ERP experience, preferably with SAP Business One
  • Three (3) years of Crystal Reports and/or SSRS Business Intelligence experience
  • Experience with collaboration, productivity, and workflow-based solutions
  • Exposure to X12 EDI and various service provider portals such as SPS Commerce or equivalent
  • Requires strong applications experience with ERP systems
  • Successful implementation of e-commerce systems
  • Successful in creating interface solutions into ERP, e-commerce, and other business systems
  • Experience working with and implementing decision support systems
  • Experience working in a model utilizing outside resources and working in an Azure or equivalent cloud environment
