Ventus Solutions is seeking a skilled Computer Networks, Machine Learning, and Network Security Specialist to support an innovative program. The ideal candidate will work closely with Program Manager (PM) to support organization efforts. The candidate will focus on computer networking, machine learning, and network security. The role requires both technical depth and adaptability to thrive in a fast-moving, dynamic environment. Join our innovative team and contribute to impactful national security initiatives.
Work Location: Onsite: Arlington VA. Some telework acceptable.
Required Experience:
- 5–7 years of recent experience in computer networks and network security.
- Hands-on programming and technical ability to conduct network emulations and simulations.
- Strong knowledge of Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), network protocols, Linux, and emulation/simulation tools.
- Solid understanding of AI/ML models and prompt engineering.
- Master’s degree or PhD candidacy in a relevant technical field.
- Ability to conduct independent technical research and support rapid iteration of program concepts.
- Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
Desired Experience:
- Prior experience supporting DARPA or other DoD R&D organizations.
- Familiarity with DARPA program initiation, proposal evaluation, and performer management.
- Experience authoring technical briefs, white papers, or program documentation.
- Background in transitioning research from lab to fielded capability.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity policy, standards, or operational practices.
- Strong network of professional connections within industry, academia, and government research communities.
