Wage Range: $25.56 - $40.87 per hour
Posted wage ranges represent the entire range from minimum to maximum. For jobs with more than one level, the posted range reflects the minimum of the lowest level and the maximum of the highest level. Some positions also offer additional premiums based on shift, certifications or degrees. Job offers are determined based on a candidate's years of relevant experience, level of education and internal equity.
About this position:
We are looking for an energetic and passionate candidate that is seeking an opportunity to join our IT team at one of the highest-rated healthcare systems in the Puget Sound area! As a Desktop Support Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for all EvergreenHealth staff. You will provide 1st and 2nd level assistance for desktop and laptop computers, mobile devices, phone systems, and any other Information Technology related needs. You will provide troubleshooting and support for EPIC, GE, and many other Electronic Medical Record systems. Additionally, you will support the Windows OS and the entire Microsoft Office suite.
Job Summary
Primary provider of computer desktop support for EvergreenHealth staff by providing computer, peripheral device, and application assistance. Support is delivered in person or over the network ensuring that client desktop software is up-to-date and assists users in their client system computer needs.
Primary Duties:
- Provides first tier support for desktop systems, peripheral devices, and all applications, according to the standards defined by department policy.
- Responsible for all hardware imaging, deployments, configurations, troubleshooting, on-going support, and relocations associated with Evergreen workstations or laptops, according to the standards defined by department policy.
- Responsible for responding to IT requests via internal ticketing system. Documenting all troubleshooting, resolutions, and escalation steps within the respective ticket.
- Responsible for assisting the IT Project Management team and Construction Managers with any IT hardware related tasks for their respective projects.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
License, Certification, Education or Experience:
REQUIRED for the position:
- High School graduate or equivalent
- 2 years of Information Technology and/or Service Desk experience
- Demonstrated problem solving, excellent communication and listening skills
- Technical understanding of PC hardware
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Current Washington State Driver’s license and proof of insurability
DESIRED for the position:
- A+, MCP, MTA or other relevant industry certifications
- 5 years of Information Technology, service desk experience and/or related higher education
- Familiarized with managed Apple devices
- Understanding of Active Directory and related systems
- Ability to perform basic asset management
- Professional cable management skills
- General knowledge of EPIC EMR software
