Onset Technologies is seeking a Senior .NET Developer. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in software development, production support, and database management, with strong proficiency in legacy ASP/ASP.NET systems, front-end technologies, and modern .NET frameworks. This role requires exceptional problem-solving skills, multitasking ability, and effective communication to manage multiple projects, resolve production issues, and collaborate with stakeholders across diverse applications.
Onset Technologies is seeking a Senior .NET Developer. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in software development, production support, and database management, with strong proficiency in legacy ASP/ASP.NET systems, front-end technologies, and modern .NET frameworks. This role requires exceptional problem-solving skills, multitasking ability, and effective communication to manage multiple projects, resolve production issues, and collaborate with stakeholders across diverse applications.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and enhance classic ASP and ASP.NET web applications.
- Architect and optimize database schemas; write and troubleshoot complex SQL queries and stored procedures.
- Work with Entity Framework, SSRS, and SSIS packages.
- Build and maintain Web APIs using .NET Core with RESTful principles.
- Utilize technologies including C#, Visual Studio, SQL Server (SSMS), TypeScript, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap.
- Modify legacy applications to meet 504 ADA compliance standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues and bugs in a fast-paced production environment.
- Apply DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Work within Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience with ArcGIS is a plus.
- Experience with Crystal Reports for both older and newer versions.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 20+ years hands-on experience in software development across legacy and current technologies.
- 20+ years experience with legacy ASP and ASP.NET web applications (please list project names).
- 20+ years experience with SQL Server, database design, Entity Framework, schema design, stored procedures, SSRS.
- 15+ years experience with front-end technologies: HTML, TypeScript, CSS, JavaScript.
- 15+ years experience with unit testing frameworks (nUnit) and writing unit tests.
- 10+ years experience with Crystal Reports (older and newer versions).
- 5+ years experience with ASP.NET Core for building RESTful APIs.
- 2+ years experience redesigning legacy ASP and ASP.NET 3.5 applications.
- 2+ years experience making web pages ADA 504 Compliant.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- 2+ years prior experience working with Texas Education Agency projects (please list projects).
- 1+ year experience with ArcGIS software.
