Full-time hybrid opportunity with three days required on-site; salary range $52,000 to $62,000 commensurate with experience

Greater Worcester Community Foundation is seeking a dynamic Communications Associate to play a pivotal role in supporting the Marketing and Communications department. The Communications Associate will focus on creating compelling content, manage social media channels, and assist with production of publications, marketing campaigns and other communications efforts.

Communications Associate Qualifications and Skills

• 2+ years of experience in a communications or marketing role and/or a post-secondary education in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; precise writer with experience in content creation across multiple platforms
• Social media content development and management across platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, with the ability to engage audiences and monitor performance
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
• Demonstrated curiosity, integrity, and initiative
• Self-starter who thrives in a collaborative environment
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks, ensuring quality while meeting deadlines
• Experience with email marketing tools such as MailChimp or similar platforms, with knowledge of best practices for audience engagement and conversion
• Experience with website content management platforms is a plus
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar design tools is a plus

Communications Associate Job Responsibilities

• Draft newsletters, blog posts, social media posts, and internal communications
• Implement and manage social media strategies across platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram), including overseeing the Foundation’s social media calendar, engaging with followers, and monitoring channel activity
• Support the development of the Foundation’s core annual publications and annual report
• Regularly update and optimize website content, ensuring accuracy, SEO best practices, and timely updates
• Assist with developing and executing marketing campaigns through MailChimp, social media, and web platforms
• Track and report on key metrics related to communications and marketing efforts, such as website traffic, social media engagement, email performance, and media coverage
