Position Summary:

The Business Systems Analyst helps align technical solutions with business needs. Working under the guidance of the Associate Director of Software Development, the Business Systems Analyst coordinates ideas, maintains internal relationships, models business processes, replicates and measures program and project benefits and develops business cases.  The main functions of this role are to interview stakeholders, identify and document requirements, validate business rules, perform testing activities, develop training and technical guides, and support system stabilization, support, and enhancements.

Essential Functions:

  • Oversee design of functional and technical specifications for CRM systems and integrations.
  • Manage development, configuration, and testing of deliverables to ensure quality of System recruiting, marketing, and communication systems.
  • Provide CRM functional back-up to departments when needed, including training the functional analyst and maintaining continuity for the CRM team when positions are open.
  • Analyze systems and make recommendations for leveraging technology to support System initiatives.
  • Advise functional analysts, as necessary, on configuration setups, data conversion requirements and timelines, required reports, creation of test scripts, security requirements, modifications, and customizations.

Requirements:

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, leadership, information systems, computer science, or related area. Master’s degree is highly desirable.
  • Three (3) years’ experience as an analyst and/or technical project manager.
  • Four (4) years’ experience with application implementation life cycles, including requirements and gap analysis, application configuration, and product enhancement and support.
  • Coursework and implementation experience with large-scale CRM systems preferred.

  • Ability to function independently on project work and to interface with all levels of the National University System organization in carrying out the duties of this position.
  • Must have the ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment with multiple deadlines and frequently changing priorities.

Competencies

  • Software upgrades and maintenance, familiarity with database methodology, project management, application integration design, SQL, SQR, and web services.
