Position Summary:

The QA Analyst will be responsible for creation, execution and maintenance of manual and automated testing scripts using best of breed automation tools/plug-ins or products as acquired. The analyst will collaborate with developers, business system analysts, product owners, and stakeholders on high performing delivery teams to understand testing goals, and to create the most efficient testing methodology.

Essential Functions:

The candidate will help collect and analyze metrics of the testing process over time to help identify quality assurance process improvements. The position requires writing testing scripts through code to improve quality throughout test automation. To be successful in this role, the QA Analyst must have a positive attitude, always open to learn new technologies and process and possess effective communication skills.

  •  Implement best people, process and tools to align National QA testing to best practices.
  • Create and maintain both manual and automated testing scripts
  • Own the creation and data masking of student data in non-production environment and harvest or seed test data to create test accounts.
  • Collaborate on an agile team, with an emphasis on quality through the SDLC.
  • Represent testing team and participates in agile events to obtain an understanding of system changes in preparation for test case development
  • Provide testing estimates as an input to the planning cycle
  • Optimize test cycle efficiency and add test automation into the continuous delivery pipeline.
  • Track all results, problems and defects throughout the testing cycle
  • Create project level metrics and dashboards to report on defect status, fix rates etc.
  • Expected to provide valuable input on process improvements to help the team focus on quality
  • Assist with content entry and verification tasks

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5 plus years of experience or an equivalent of education and experience
  • 5 plus years performing in a QA role in support of web and analytics development
  • 1-3 years experience with automation and/or a combination of course work & hands-on
  • Certifications (CSQA, CSTE) or equivalent relevant experience
  • Familiar with agile methodologies
  • Strong working knowledge of system testing and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies
  • Experience with testing tools such as LambdaTest, QTest etc.
  • Experience with Cross-Browser Testing tools e.g. BrowserStack, Litmus
  • Familiarity with Salesforce CRM and Marketing Cloud and associated data structures
  • Very strong SQL abilities (MSQL)

Competencies/Technical/Functional Skills:



  • Higher Education sector experience
  • DevOps, Engineering, web development experience
  • Knowledge of Google's suite of data tools-Google Analytics, (both Universal Analytics & GA4 Property Types), Google Tag, Manager
