Position Summary:

Under general supervision, provide administration and development support on major initiatives related to the Salesforce implementation and its integration with the FlexCourse platform as well as various other internal and external platforms and services.  Manage the Salesforce as a Client Relationship Management marketing tool, ultimately resulting in the streamlining and collecting metrics of the student journey from application to enrollment.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Operates as primary system administrator and application configuration expert for SalesForce.com
  • Leads development, testing, user acceptance testing and deployment releases into production for all configurations, customizations, integrations and data changes
  • Documents detailed requirements, business processes, security access matrix, data and integration designs
  • Diagnoses and proposes resolution for Salesforce.com issues that include configurations and customizations, integrations, data loads, security access, workflows and triggers, reports and dashboards
  • Creates, develops and maintains user roles, security profiles, workflow rules, permission sets, sharing rules and other system configuration options
  • Conducts research on the best practices and industry and functional trends, while staying abreast of Sales Force Dot Com (SFDC) release changes, potential updates, etc.
  • Creates reports and dashboards for users and the management team.

Requirements:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Administration or related field, required; and, five (5) years Salesforce.com platform experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience; inclusive,
  • Three (3) years as a Salesforce.com Administrator;
  • Salesforce Administrator Certification, preferred (Advanced).

  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite Applications such as Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and solid working knowledge applications used for salesforce applications:  Salesforce Web Services API’s; Force.com SOAP and REST-based Web Services API’s, the Bulk API and the Metadata API.  Working knowledge of Salesforce data tools e.g. Data Loader, Excel Connector, DemandTools, Eclipse Force.com IDE.  Experience in Visualforce/Apex development.
  • Strong understand of Salesforce best practices, design patterns and functionality, as well as ability to build custom apps and objects, formula fields, workflows, custom views and other content of intermediate complexity.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate significant amount of information with attention to detail and accuracy.   
  • Advanced interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individual of constituencies in a diverse community. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, including translating technical language to a non-technical nature and successfully train end-users.
  • Work independently and foster a cooperative spirit within a large and/or small team of diverse cultures, while working in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines and frequently changing priorities.
