Job Description

Salesforce Business Analyst is responsible for providing support to business and technical professionals regarding a variety of data and administrative tasks. The Salesforce Business Analyst will work closely with cross functional teams wearing many hats on their projects and is responsible for providing data and reporting solutions. This role partners with other Salesforce administrators on configuration, testing, training, and development support.

Responsibilities

  • Develop reports and dashboards to accurately meet end user requirements
  • Develop and improve existing procedures for organizing reports and dashboards
  • Collaborate with engineering team to facilitate ETL of SFDC data into the data warehouse
  • Work with stakeholders and development team to determine project scope and vision, gather and prioritize collected requirements
  • Based on analysis, identify options for solving business challenges. Choose the best option and move forward with the best solution
  • Complete the configuration for user stories within Salesforce, AppExchange products, or other cloud-based technologies
  • Present and lead sessions and requirement workshops, based on Waterfall or Agile delivery methods
  • Demonstrate knowledge and technical competence and act as a recognized authority for a project or initiative
  • Collaborate with developers to test and verify that solutions will meet the business requirements
  • Develop Salesforce specific dimensions and correlation actions, Journeys, and product reporting features.
  • Monitor newly released Salesforce features and functionalities to provide recommendations for process

Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to convey the benefits of Salesforce as a tool to increase the level of business/customer knowledge of salesforce mechanisms
  • Must possess a strong understanding of appropriate workflows, commercially available technology, relational database concepts, and package system implementations
  • Ability to interact with stakeholders and technical staff and to determine and define system specifications, process improvement, quality assurance
  • Proficiency in administrative tasks like Creating Roles, Profiles, Users, Email Services, Page Layouts, Workflow Alerts, Actions and Approval Processes
  • Attention to detail with the ability to analyze and solve complex problems as well as provide documentation, guidance, and instruction to users
  • Must have a Bachelor's Degree completed
  • Preferred Experience and Skills
  • Experience with Salesforce education cloud or Educational Data Architecture (EDA) framework
  • Experience in Salesforce data, reporting and visualizations
  • Experience in creating, owning, prioritizing, or grooming of User Stories, Features or Epics via a Scrum/Agile system to deliver on time and in scope features to the customer
  • Understanding of development techniques using Visual force pages, Apex programming and declarative methods
  • Experience setting up and configuring CRM, DMP and Customer Journey models
  • Experience with Apex and development practices around Apex
  • Experience with trailblazer program and developing pathways for customer management and experience improvement
  • Experience on a Salesforce implementation through the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Experience with designing reports and dashboards to meet business functionalities and needs
  • Advanced knowledge of programming languages such as SQL, R and/or Python
  • Knowledge of Tableau Online
  • Salesforce Admin Certification and one Consulting Cloud Certification (Sales, Service or Community)
