MediaCom Sport & Entertainment is an award-winning partnerships and brand engagement division of MediaCom. Our aim is to ensure our client’s sponsorship activities are impactful, accountable and aligned with their wider communications objectives to drive maximum success and efficiency from sponsorship as a key component of the communication system. Being part of the world’s leading integrated communication agency, the division combines the most comprehensive consumer and brand insight with intrinsic knowledge of all channels where sponsorship is executed to identify, secure, develop and sustain sport partnerships that deliver long lasting brand impact.

MediaCom Sport & Entertainments’ offering is built on 4 key pillars:

The MediaCom Sport & Entertainment partnership team works closely with other specialty service functions including media integrations, content and influencer marketing.  

Position Overview:

As the Partnership Marketing Coordinator, you will support the relationship and work output for a selection of MediaCom clients. With a focus on brand and sponsorship marketing, you will support the team in conducting relevant and insightful internal and external analysis, identifying and communicating influential business implications, creating compelling storylines and developing key recommendations rooted in strategic insights, to ensure client satisfaction. You should possess a foundational knowledge of marketing and sponsorship marketing and be prepared to learn and apply a wide range of skills including client servicing, project management, critical thinking, problem solving and creativity. Reporting to the Associate Director, you will also participate in various new business initiatives to drive the evolution and growth of our Canadian offering to existing and new clients.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Understand the client’s business(es) as well as their sponsorship portfolio, contract details and investments.
  • Support inter-agency and inter-department client projects representation of the sport & entertainment function with client objectives core to the mission
  • Provide direct, day-to-day support on many aspects of the client’s sport marketing portfolio
  • Responsible and accountable for day-to-day client deliverables; (asset management, administrative deliverables, reporting etc)
  • Support in the development of detailed strategic/tactical roadmaps that align the day-to-day focus to the long term vision/mission
  • Assist in the research and analysis of sponsorship and market trends within sports, arts, entertainment and lifestyle. Help translate the key insights and learnings into strategic and tailored client recommendations.
  • Ability to develop and nurture relationships with client(s), partners and internal stakeholders
  • Responsible for quality client service across the client base
  • Support with primary/secondary research and analysis to inform situational recommendations/POVs
  • Experience working collaboratively with internal and external. Contribute strategic point of views and creative input into the develoment of programs
  • Responsible for contributions in new business initiatives.

  • Media Evaluation and budgeting exercises
  • Entrepreneurial minded in the approach to servicing clients, achieving client objectives and helping build the partnership marketing business
  • A track record of creative thinking and problem-solving
  • Organized and detail-oriented with proven success in project management
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal, with the ability to present ideas thoughtfully and comprehensively
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with the ability to design and deliver client-friendly deliverables
  • Strong interpersonal skills, and relationship management skills
  • Self-starter and solutions oriented
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

  • Adaptive and flexible personality who is comfortable with fluid business dynamics and supporting different functions as required
  • Sport and/or entertainment experience in an intern roll is an asset
  • 1-2 years of experience in the Corporate Sponsorship industry is an asset
  • Post-Secondary degree: Focus on Marketing and/or Business
  • Agency experience an asset
