Director of Talent Acquisition

Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Research, recommend and develop talent acquisition strategy at the company level that engages a diverse, high caliber of talent.  Partner with Marketing to ensure that the strategy is aligned with the employee brand.  Promote diversity in the workplace and ensure recruiting strategies attract diverse candidates.
  2. Drive execution of the recruitment strategy through coaching the Talent Acquisition Manager to execute on recruitment strategy to meet or exceed key performance metrics.
  3. Identify and foster relationships with essential external talent pipeline organizations.  Create and maintain specific pathways for talent to enter and exit the company through relationships with external pipeline organizations.
  4. Attend events to promote the Jet Linx employee brand and make industry contacts for relationship creation and building.
  5. Establish and maintain networks of colleges, universities and trade schools that support recruitment strategies.  Attend campus events to promote Jet Linx as needed.  Research, locate and identify paid internship programs that support Jet Linx strategies and initiatives.
  6. Ensure that that a Five-Star candidate experience is in place in all aspects, through technology (Jobvite) and process. 
  7. Research, identify and apply for external training grants.
  8. Serve as the internal Subject Matter Expert responsible for administering and maintaining Jet Linx applicant tracking system.
  9. Demonstrate Jet Linx’s core values and “Supply the High” in all interactions.
  10. Other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all levels of the company and its customers
  • Experience managing and prioritizing multiple searches, projects and client relationships
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle and maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Ability to multi-task and complete work within assigned timelines under minimal supervision
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment, discretion, and initiative
  • Self-motivated and willingness to take initiative to research and resolve problems
  • Ability to travel to out-of-state sites as needed
  • Operate office equipment as needed


Education and Work Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
  • 5+ years of progressive talent acquisition experience required; a strong preference will be given to candidates having that experience in that talent acquisition experience in the aviation industry


Physical Requirements:

  • Majority of work is completed in a normal office work environment
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Able to complete physical activities such as standing, sitting, walking, talking, and hearing to perform daily work functions
  • Must be able to move up to 25 pounds on an infrequent basis
