Senior Fleet Optimization Specialist (Weekend Shift)

The Senior Fleet Optimization Specialist is the main point of contact concerning trip options and assignments for their respective optimization team. They will assist the Fleet Optimization (FO) Manager by ensuring each trip is fully optimized, working to keep as many hours in-fleet as possible while making sure all off-fleet assignments are acceptable.  

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Ensure the daily task spreadsheet and trip assignments are updated as needed.  
2. Assist the Fleet Optimization (FO) Manager in directing the daily workflow of the team. 
3. Under direction of the FO Manager, ensure trips are being worked and presented in a timely fashion and coach the FO Specialists. 
4. Monitor all in-fleet assignments and outsourced margins for the assigned team/base. 
5. Assist the FO Manger by ensuring the team is recovering any Member/Charter/Owner mechanical issues in an efficient and timely manner. 
6. Serve as main point of contact for Base Leadership relating to trip options and assignments for assigned FO Team (Tango/Bravo). 
7. Serve as main point of contact for Charter Sales Executives relating to trip pairings and assignments. 
8. Ensure appropriate hours are assigned to in-fleet aircraft and that appropriate trade-offs are being made regarding intercity, outsourcing, charter, etc.  
9. Maintain knowledge of department standings in terms of actual performance vs. budget (hours, revenue, and margin) by analyzing the KPIs and offer suggestions. 
10. Ensure all FO-related details on the FOS Schedule including notes, owner approvals, and aircraft comments are updated consistently. 
11. Work with maintenance and crewing teams when planning monthly schedules to maximize availability by the 15th of each prior month. 
12. Assist the FO Manager with department training. 
13. Under direction of the FO Manager, ensure the team is responding to Inbox items, pop-up/ASAP flights, and Hard Quote requests timely, efficiently, and effectively. 
14. Maintain awareness of when FO needs to work ahead on the trip schedule. 
15. Maintain solid understanding of local and national trends in aviation. 
16. Present FO information at the weekly base calls. 
17. Maintain vendor relationships, handling issues as they arise and escalating to FO Manager as needed. 
18. Keep pulse on aircraft additions/removals and update the New Aircraft Progress Google slides for the teams. 
19. Demonstrate Jet Linx’s core values and “Supply the High” in all interactions. 
20. Other duties as assigned. 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

· Possess well-rounded understanding of Jet Linx Aviation business model and projected growth 
· Ability to think outside of the box 
· Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all levels of the company and its customers 
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite FOS 
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with strong attention to detail and organizational skills  
· Ability to handle and maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information 
· Ability to multi-task and complete work within assigned timelines under minimal supervision 
· Ability to exercise independent judgment, discretion, and initiative 
· Self-motivated and willingness to take initiative to research and resolve problems 
· Ability to travel as needed and work non-traditional hours as needed 
· Operate office equipment as needed 

Education and Work Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in a related field 
· 5 or more years of related Aviation experience 
· Or equivalent combination of education and experience 

Physical Requirements:

· Majority of work is completed in a normal office work environment 
· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer 
· Able to complete physical activities such as standing, sitting, walking, talking, and hearing to perform daily work functions 
· Must be able to move up to 25 pounds on an infrequent basis
