The AI Workflow & Automation Architect (Multimedia) reports to the AI Workflow & Automation Manager and focuses on the discovery, evaluation, and integration of AI tools for multimedia content creation (audio, video, imagery). This role is both a supportive and execution-focused position that builds capacity in our creative and curriculum teams to work with external tools while also taking part in the creation of internal tools and workflows that lead to faster, reliable, and reusable internal processes. This role will scout emerging AI media solutions, assess fit and feasibility, build integrations and automations, and provide guidance and training so teams can confidently adopt these capabilities.

Position Information: This is a regular, full-time position, reporting to the AI Workflow & Automation Manager.
Compensation: Base pay is anticipated to be between $81,701.00 and $95,000.00 per year. Eligible employees may also receive incentive/commission/annual bonus pay based on individual and/or company performance. Compensation may vary based on factors such as, but not limited to, individual skills, experience, training, education/certifications, geographic location, internal equity, and local market conditions.
Location: In this US-based position your location will be remote.
Travel: You can also expect up to approximately 20% travel, so be sure you have a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance and a clean driving record for at least the preceding 39 months.

Envision Your Experience.
In this role you’ll have the opportunity to:
- Research & Discovery – Track and assess emerging AI multimedia tools and models (audio, video, imagery) for internal use. Identify where AI can accelerate creative pipelines and reduce manual effort.
- Evaluation & Integration – Pilot and evaluate tools/APIs for cost, quality, compliance, integration complexity, and reliability. Build automation and connective tissue using Python and workflow platforms (StackAI and AWS Flows) to link services and move data between systems. Create reusable workflow templates and utilities that other teams can adopt.
- Enablement & Training – Serve as an AI liaison to creative/curriculum teams—share best practices, run trainings, and document usage patterns. Provide guidance on parameters, prompts, file formats, and output standards for consistent results.
- Operationalization – Partner with the AI Workflow & Automation Manager to productionize successful pilots into supported internal solutions. Document tools, endpoints, configuration, and troubleshooting steps; contribute to a central catalog of approved tools, workflows, and “how-tos.”
- Collaboration – Work closely with creative content experts and adjacent engineering/ops partners. Focus on enablement and automation opportunities, not direct content creation.

Share Your Expertise.
Experience, education, and qualifications essential for success in this role, include:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Product Management, Education, Business, or a related field and at least 3 years of product management experience, including at least 2 years working on SaaS or AI/ML products; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
- K-12 edtech experience is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with AI-driven multimedia content generation and end-to-end content creation workflows.
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate and integrate AI tools for content creation.
- Some experience with scripting and comfort working with APIs, webhooks, and automation platforms.
- Strong problem-solving skills, curiosity, and a passion for exploring innovative technologies.
- Excellent collaboration, documentation, and communication skills; ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical partners.
- Experience in educational settings or with educational content preferred.
- Advanced programming or scripting skills (e.g., deeper Python, Node.js) preferred.
- Exposure to agentic orchestration patterns, model selection, or prompt parameterization for media tasks preferred.
- Familiarity with related tools (e.g., TTS/STT, captioning, asset management, media encoding) preferred.
- Innovative mindset, enthusiasm for multimedia AI, and the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
- Highly proactive, organized, and comfortable operating in fast-paced, evolving environments.
- Deep passion for educational equity and innovation, with a strong interest in transforming learning through AI.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% to engage with school partners, educators, and internal teams as needed.
