JOB TITLE: Manager, DTC Fulfillment & eCommerce Operations
REPORTS TO: Director, DTC & eCommerce
The Manager DTC Fulfillment & eCommerce Operations responsibilities require proven leadership skills, exceptional customer focus, and the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast paced, high-volume fulfillment and distribution center environment focused on DTC & eCommerce. This role will work closely with the Director, DTC & eCommerce in managing all the resource requirements to meet the demands of the current and future business needs. As a skilled operations manager, you will have proven experience leading and developing a team directly involved in the continuous improvement of the entire DTC & eCommerce operations.
What You’ll Do
- Manage, develop and inspire the eCommerce fulfillment supervisors, team leads and team members while building trust, providing leadership and direction, instilling confidence and promoting personal growth within DTC eCom operations
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to derive insights from data, recognize and elevate pressure on the constraining resources
- Collaborate with key stakeholders and lead the daily production departments to follow the strategic plan
- Accountable for managing all DTC eCom activities while ensuring results conform with budgets and key performance metrics for each work area and site location
- Ensures that all customer contractual requirements are effectively met on-time and communicated to the key business stakeholders
- Partner with other cross-functional managers on staffing, scheduling and coordination of critical resources required to successfully execute the weekly production plan
- Create project initiatives to improve DTC eCom performance and/or metrics
- Provide regular reporting updates to the Director, DTC & eCom on projects/initiatives and performance measurements
- Define quarterly goals and development plans for all site supervisors and conduct regular reviews and evaluations
What You’ll Bring
Required:
- Previous DTC & eCommerce experience preferred
- 5+ years’ experience in the integrated functions of Fulfillment & Distribution Management.
- 8+ years managerial experience focusing on design, planning, execution, control and monitoring of multiple large-scale Fulfillment Centers
- 5+ years’ experience in leading continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean/Six Sigma principles
- Ability to read, write, analyze and interpret product information, production schedules, and other process documentation
- Computer proficiency, specifically with Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, ERP/MRP systems.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule when required.
- Proficient working knowledge and experience in supply chain processes and procedures including production planning, demand planning and replenishment.
- Ability to work well independently and cross-functionally as part of an established and growing team through the establishment of effective working relationships.
- Familiar with the procurement of raw materials, bill of materials and commodities related to the fulfillment & distribution of consumer products.
- Strong communication (written & verbal), time-management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to effectively respond to change order requests from customers, sales and suppliers.
- Ability to travel as required.
- APICS certification, CPIM or CTLD is preferred.
Work Environment
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and the employee will be exposed to office noises and interruptions such as printers, phones, and chatter from surrounding teams. While performing the duties of this job, employee will be regularly sitting at a desk and working on a computer for prolonged periods. The employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms and use hands to finger, handle, lift or feel. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk and hear. The employee may occasionally have to squat and bend. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds without physical limitations or restrictions.
