What You’ll Do
- Lead the Marketing Team in the development of comprehensive marketing plans for product launches and ongoing support of new feature rollouts and seasonal events
- Write strategic, insights-driven marketing briefs taking inputs from various functional areas and collaborating on the final draft across stakeholders
- Create and collaborate on campaign goals and KPIs that deliver against business, channel and fan growth/engagement goals
- Partner deeply with product teams to gain an in-depth understanding of key product features, promotions, and target performance metrics. Communicate this information to marketing teams and serve as a product champion within Marketing for PR, Social Media, Licensing, Online Marketing, and Digital Advertising teams
- Establish best practice for marketing campaign planning, change management, Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and dashboard reporting
- Facilitate cross-channel activation brainstorms and regular planning meetings to deliver omni-channel campaigns that resonate with our target consumer groups
- Manage agency partners, as needed, to strategize, concept, plan and/or execute programs or program components
- Lead marketing interface with licensing team; producing regular marketing plans and debriefs to license partners, submitting materials for approvals
- Strategic Leadership in Marketing & Business Development: Elevate marketing efforts by developing and executing comprehensive strategies that align with overall business objectives. Drive business growth through identifying new market opportunities, forging strategic partnerships, and expanding revenue streams. Oversee all facets of marketing, from brand positioning to customer acquisition, while integrating business development initiatives to ensure sustained long-term success.
- Manage 3 Direct Reports: Email Marketing & Copywriting Manager, E-Commerce Manager, & Social Media Manager
- “Dotted Line Managing” 2 Graphic Design Team members on a day to day basis for Marketing & Advertising needs of the business
- Budget Creation, Ownership, and Management: Develop, own, and maintain the comprehensive budget for the entire Marketing department. Ensure alignment with business objectives by carefully allocating resources, monitoring expenditures, and optimizing financial performance to maximize ROI.
- Cross-Functional Project Management: Lead and manage multiple projects that span across Marketing, Product Development, Creative, and Sales & Logistics teams. Ensure seamless collaboration, clear communication, and timely delivery of initiatives by coordinating efforts, setting priorities, and aligning project goals with overall business strategies.
- Event Planning & Execution: Collaborate with the larger events team to plan and execute event participation, including selecting events, coordinating product exclusive Marketing (online and in-person), product selection for on sale at event, staffing, scheduling, setup and teardown, off-site brand activations, and annual event budgeting.
- Communications & Public Relations: Interface daily with the in-house PR team and external agencies to coordinate press materials and assets. Approve all branded communications related to product releases and business activities. Manage budgeting for PR activations and events.
- Paid Advertising Strategy: Work with the in-house team and external agencies to create and execute a strategic mix of paid advertising for new products and evergreen items. Oversee daily monitoring of ad performance and metrics to ensure effective customer engagement.
- Social Media Strategy & Commercialization: Strategize and plan content calendars for weekly releases, major PR and event-based initiatives, and the development of new channels. Focus on commercializing social media to maximize brand efficiency and customer attraction.
- Email Marketing Oversight: Plan weekly marketing emails that inform subscribers about new products, brand event attendance, special website sales, and more.
- Web Merchandising & Strategy: Strategize and plan the website’s appearance and functionality, including weekly product drops, holiday/themed activations, and ongoing product merchandising. Ensure continuous rotation and optimization of products on the website.
What You’ll Bring
- 5+ years’ proven experience as a Marketing Manager, preferably with a global brand
- Skilled storyteller with a strong understanding of full funnel marketing tactics and channels that deliver the story to the consumer
- Experience in understanding and utilizing consumer insights, sales metrics, pop culture, consumer trends and other inputs to inform briefs
- Broad knowledge of consumer marketing and digital marketing. Solid experience generating and gaining momentum for high-impact ideas
- Ability to work with a wide range of skillsets ranging from the technical to the creative. Must be a team player able to build strong cross-departmental relationships
- A pragmatic big-picture thinker that can reconcile analytical and creative forces for the purpose of achieving optimal business outcomes
- A calm problem-solver when faced with deadlines and conflicting pressures;
- A positive outlook and solutions-oriented person who sees the “glass half full” even when obstacles may seem daunting;
- Demonstrated ability to self-motivate, with an enthusiastic spirit for team collaboration;
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills;
- An interest and appreciation of standard processes and systems;
- Interest in film, television, and pop culture in general is a big plus;
- Respect for creativity, art, and design;
- Proficiency with Mac OS and intermediate Adobe Creative Cloud skills (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop);
- BA/BS
