What You’ll Do
This position will be responsible for overseeing strategic planning across digital integrated marketing campaign initiatives to support the direct-to-consumer business for both Funko.com and Loungefly.com. The ideal candidate has experience building short and longtail GTM campaign structure utilizing data-driven insights and delivering on post-campaign reporting. This individual understands the importance of being data-driven in decisions and strategy, while also having a brand-first and storytelling mentality. Communication will be key, due to close partnership with internal and external partners and this individual will also oversee and mentor campaign producers to support on all initiatives. This role will be primarily focused on digital channels, and should have an understanding of the digital marketing ecosystem – from email marketing to paid media and more. This role thrives in a fast-paced environment with an ever-changing pop culture landscape.
Your Superpowers in Action
- Work with Sr. Digital Marketing Manager to identify priorities, campaign tiers and goals, audiences, and timelines.
- Oversee strategy and build of DTC marketing campaigns for Funko.com, Loungefly.com and build close partnership on funkoeurope.com
- Deep dive into historical performance to build campaign strategy while understanding current pop culture landscape. From identifying previous collection drop buyer behavior to understanding channel performance to looking ahead at trailer and movie release timelines.
- Lead campaign kickoffs with key stakeholders and hand-off to campaign producers to structure and build campaigns. This may include Big Bet priorities, Evergreen initiatives, promotions and more.
- Work with the team to identify areas of opportunity to build cross-brand support across campaign initiatives
- Partner closely with email marketing and paid media teams to gain understanding of past campaign performance to develop insights for future campaigns.
- Work with EMEA DTC Marketing team to understand past campaign performance and priorities to build into campaign strategy
- Grow, mentor and support team of two marketing campaign producers
- Deep dive into campaign recaps alongside campaign producers to understand campaign efficacy
- Oversee seasonal and “DTC Brand” campaigns for both Funko.com and Loungefly.com. This includes Halloween, Holiday and more.
- When needed, support brand marketing team on tentpole initiatives as a DTC stakeholder
Must-Have Superhero Gadgetry
- BS in Marketing, Advertising, Digital Marketing or equivalent experience
- 4-6 years direct digital campaign strategy experience. Global integrated campaign experience at e-commerce brands is preferred.
- Ability to think creatively and from differing consumer points of view
- Proven track record of meeting campaign goals, and if not understanding the “why” behind the miss.
- Ability to create and work toward a deadline, while having a flexible mindset due to product or pop culture shifts.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbally, with an ability to lead conversations and present. Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills preferred.
- Experience managing and mentoring direct reports
- Intermediate Google Analytics Reporting experience required, with the ability to train direct reports on the program.
- Salesforce and Smartsheet experience is a plus
- Experience and interest working in a fast-paced, pop-culture environment
- Experience establishing trust and leadership in a team and cross departmentally.
