Manager, Creative Marketing Operations
Description
- Partner with inter-departmental leads in Marketing, DTC, Social, Events, and more to plan upcoming workflow, identify high-profile projects that require extra creative brainpower and bandwidth – all while training these teams on how best to engage our Brand & Marketing Creative team.
- Keep our Creative Director up to date on individual team members’ bandwidth to ensure workload is balanced and the right talent is put on the right projects.
- Partner with our Creative Director to analyze current creative development workflow and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Manage our Creative Marketing Operations & Licensor Approvals team, guiding them in their work with our teams as well as our external Licensing partners.
- Manage Asana project management system on behalf of the Brand & Marketing Creative Team and harness it to produce creative output tracking data to help Creative Leadership lobby for more resources when appropriate.
- Analyze Funko’s current Asset Management systems and processes. Make recommendations for improvements to create a more organized and efficient Asset library.
- Plan and coordinate workflow within our Photo and Video teams to ensure they have what they need to deliver the best assets on time.
- Responsible for recruiting and hiring freelance resources for projects when needed.
- Develop and execute a process to audit creative requests and create a tiered priority system for projects.
- 7+ years' experience managing creative asset production for internal creative teams or external agencies required
- Proven experience managing the workflow of a high-volume creative team
- Extensive experience with Asana required
- Experience with licensed products and licensor approvals is required.
- Confidence to advocate for the Creative team with other Funko departments
- Ability to look ahead, identify bottlenecks, and work proactively to solve them before they happen.
- Ability to protect the Creative team’s bandwidth when workload is too heavy, partnering with other departments to adjust schedules when necessary.
- Keen attention to detail in planning, organization and execution of tasks, while still seeing the big picture and understanding how all the pieces fit together and affect one another.
- Demonstration of innovation and initiative - always looking at improving our and processes while also displaying a willingness to dive into the details and help wherever necessary.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, PR or a related field is preferred but not required
- Hunger to learn about new pop culture fandoms beyond what you already love.
