This role sits within the “Product” team. The drivers behind our platform – brilliant people working together to create, code, and build the next game changers.

What will you be doing?

The Senior Product Operations Manager is passionate about the product management discipline and understands the benefits of frameworks/processes and how to optimise them in a way that is effective in delivering value whilst being as efficient and lightweight as possible. 

As the Senior Product Operations Manager you will thrive at collaboration with product managers, business analysts and various cross-functional team members as both customers and partners to better Funding Circle product development processes as well as FC’s product offering itself with the initiatives they lead, support and implement.  

You will be a line manager, leader, and coach to a team of business analysts.  

Identify opportunities to automate product managers' responsibilities and related task to help drive consistency and efficiency across product management as a whole

  • Improving the release and release notes framework through process refinements and automation
  • Contributing to the definition and management of the product development flow
  • Recommending and implement optimisations to the product development timeline
  • Supporting Lead Product Managers in designing/delivering on high priority projects as they arise, collaborating/contributing with the perspective of how to create repeatable/reusable frameworks and automations for efficiency
  • Helping research, organise and recommend resources on product management best practices
  • Contributing content and Training, Learning & Development for Product Management to help up-level the skills of the product team
  • Establishing the Product Handbook and work collaboratively across product management to update, improve and maintain it
  • Playing a Business Manager role to Director and Heads of Product - assist in setting out the Product strategy, vision and roadmap

Not essential, but it would be interesting if you’ve also had:

  • Previous startup or scale up experience 
  • Experience in, or genuine interest in finance and especially lending markets
  • User-centred product design, knowledge of practices and disciplines
  • Business or Technology Management degree, or relevant experience

Are you?

  • Experienced within a product management, operation function or business management function
  • Proficient in operational process documentation writing and maintenance
  • Knowledgeable with business change experience in process automation
  • Competent working with and eliciting requirements from third party vendors and senior stakeholders
  • Experienced working within an Agile, fast paced environment and ability to adapt to changes
