Ruby Software Engineer - Contract
Funding Circle is looking for a Ruby contractor to work on reinforcing our platform’s security measures.
The off-payroll working rules (IR35) do not apply.
Who are we?
We want to help small businesses win. That’s why we’re here.
We connect small business owners to investors – to create jobs, support local communities and power economies – because we believe that people are made to do more. And we want to help realise their goals.
So, we created the leading small business loan platform. Investors have lent £9.8 billion in 130,000 loans to 90,000 small business owners. In a single year, this lending unlocked 115,000 jobs and contributed £6.5 billion to the global economy.
What will you be doing?
Being an automator: we are continually re-evaluating our stack to improve efficiency throughout the pipeline. We practice continuous integration and are working towards a container-based deployment workflow.
Being a builder: you’ll build and expand our highly-available architecture to handle over £3 billion in loans originated through our pipeline.
Being a collector: you’ll help build scalable infrastructure to collect data for real time analytics and risk modelling.
Being a collaborator: you’ll be expected to forge deep bonds with your business counterparts to truly understand the needs of our Borrowers and Investors. We work in an Agile environment including pair programming and daily stand-ups.
Being a teacher: be generous with your time and expertise to teach stakeholders and our fellow engineers how to answer their own questions with tools you build.
