An exciting and high-performing sales channel, our Broker Team needs a talented Business Development Manager to manage & build part of our London & SE portfolio of brokers introducers.

What will you be doing?
You will be our face-to-market in London & South East to drive the growth of our broker introducer network, implementing a strategy to grow and nurture your panel of brokers.   This is a phenomenal opportunity for someone with a real passion for commercial finance for SMEs and building business relationships, 

What will you be responsible for?

  • Building Funding Circle's access to SMEs looking for commercial finance and increasing the amount of broker referred 'borrowers' coming through the channel
  • You will nurture excellent relationships with your portfolio of brokers, looking for ways to build on these, educate and drive sales
  • Acquisition of new introducers to your portfolio by face to face, telephone, LinkedIn and email, you will have an eye for untapped opportunity and be a natural networker, this could include commercial finance brokers, asset finance, accountants, business coaches 
  • Working with the team to deliver an acquisition strategy across the UK, using networking, campaign and event planning
  • Partnering with a Business Development Executive to track introduced loan applications and to assist with general analysis/reporting on business network activity on a weekly and monthly basis
What will you bring to the role:
the ‘must-have’s’:
  • Excellent relationship management skills, you have an appetite to build long-lasting relationships from the start, applying a hunter/farmer mentality 
  • You know how to manage your pipeline and your diary as an organised self-starter
  • Motivated by success in numbers, and driven to achieve your personal & team target
  • Proven experience in B2B business development and sales (at least 2 years) 
  • Experience working with commercial finance broker & intermediaries 
  • You have worked in the financial services industry and comfortable working with complex commercial finance products 
  • Strong presentation and organisational skills
