What will you be doing?
We are looking for a technical product manager to work with our data platform teams in London. Data has been identified as a fundamental pillar contributing to the growth of the company and this role will be directly responsible in building out our suite of tools to enable this growth. You will identify gaps in our current data strategy and build out our plans to improve our data capabilities.
- Responsible for building out the data platform capabilities within Funding Circle. You should be able to understand the bigger picture of data platform capabilities and how they enable teams in the business
- Partner with business and technical stakeholders to understand their priorities, building out the data platform roadmap based on outcomes and value
- Work with the engineering managers and data platform engineers to shape solutions that deliver value every sprint
- Communicate clearly with your stakeholders on product plans, delivery and impact
- Ensuring a healthy balance of innovation, support and maintenance. You will work with highly skilled engineers to build out a set of core data capabilities
- Work with the wider teams to bring cutting edge data technologies to Funding Circle
- Be a data champion and spread the message on the importance of data, using your influence to improve data creation and provisioning
Are you?
- Experienced working as a product manager, ideally in data related software products
- Naturally curious about technology and able to dive into the detail to challenge engineers
- Experienced in understanding stakeholder goals and turning them into successful products
- Experienced managing wide groups of stakeholders across all parts of the business, joining the dots to create solutions that work for everyone and prioritising work within engineering teams
- Able to be the voice of the product, translating technical delivery into business outcomes and communicate this out effectively
- Experienced working with cloud technologies
- Knowledgeable of modern data technologies (kafka, dbt, airflow, datahub etc)
- (Nice to have) Experienced working in a technical capacity (engineering, data science) or have strong technical knowledge
