System/Network Administrator

We are seeking a System/Network Administrator to join our team in Lexington or Louisville, KY.

What You’ll Be Doing:

In this role, you will be responsible for the daily administration, management, and troubleshooting of Dean Dorton’s growing and complex IT infrastructure. This role is crucial to ensure the firm’s operations run smoothly across multiple offices. Some responsibilities include:

• Install, configure, and maintain infrastructure software, including Cisco switches, firewalls, routers, and servers.
• Manage and support VMware, SAN & NAS Administration, and Disaster Recovery Solutions.
• Deploy and support VOIP phone systems, both physical and cloud-based.
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and deploy firmware or hardware upgrades as needed.
• Implement and support Citrix Virtual Desktop and App solutions.
• Work with a team to plan and execute server and virtualization deployments.
• Deploy and test disaster recovery systems to ensure business continuity.
• Review infrastructure logs and configurations for security vulnerabilities or performance issues.
• Evaluate and test new tools and infrastructure solutions to enhance the firm’s technology stack.
• Utilize scripting languages, with a preference for PowerShell, to automate routine tasks and improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with IT team members to share the workload, provide input on infrastructure improvements, offer mentorship to junior staff, and ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in systems and network administration.
• Strong competency in VMware, SAN & NAS Administration, Disaster Recovery Solutions, and supporting Virtual Desktop and Server environments.
• Advanced experience with Microsoft 365, Entra, Azure, and AWS.
• Experience deploying and supporting VOIP phone systems.
• Expertise in configuring and deploying Cisco switches, firewalls, routers, and servers.
• Experience managing Veeam Backups, Active Directory, Linux Administration, and Remote Monitoring Management (RMM) solutions.
• Proficient in scripting languages, particularly PowerShell.
• Familiarity with SQL, SharePoint, IIS, Cisco UCS, and Hyper-Converged Infrastructure

Preferred Certifications:

• Network+
• Server+
• VMware  (VCP -DCV)
• MCSA or CCNA
