THE ROLE:

Delivery of Code42 courses and training sessions, not limited to but including: 

  • For all new staff within the Code42 Crashplan Technical Services organization
  • For external Crashplan customers
  • Ongoing product related training and development for Technical Services

Successful candidates will be able to explain subjects of a complex and technical nature in an effective, efficient, and articulate manner.  Ability to interact with, and educate at all levels of proficiency, and technical expertise is a must.  They will determine training objectives and curriculum and create the training programs, including outlines, handouts, tests, and exercises. Excellent presentation skills are required with the ability to structure conversations predicated on how well the material is being absorbed.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

Technical Instruction (65%):

  • Review training requirements and adapt priorities based upon both internal and external needs.
  • Deliver technical education curriculum to Code42 Customers through a combination of blended learning solutions. Including but not limited to: instructor led training (classroom and virtual), self-paced eLearning and mLearning, video training, exam and review question creation.
  • Provide feedback to leadership on classroom performance and customer experiences and recommend actions for improvement.
  • Ensure effective delivery of training to support the highest competence given the level of knowledge and skills required.
  • Own program level Curriculum Lifecycle Management tasks for courses; including designing course materials and other documents such as handouts, manuals, lab exercises, and final exam.
  • Create and record self-paced eLearning and video training sessions.
  • Work with subject matter experts to ensure that course material achieves desired learning outcomes.
  • Act as a subject matter expert when determining, designing and developing curriculum through research, Code42 team member input, and advanced functional/technical knowledge.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to continuously improve the effectiveness of the content.
  • Stay current in best practices, tools, and applications across the learning and training industry.
  • Ongoing review of education materials by analyzing customer feedback and revisions to course curriculum or as new versions of product are released to ensure continuous course improvements.
  • Update any technical inaccuracies or incompleteness in training materials and documentation.
  • Own the architecture and ongoing maintenance of the virtual lab infrastructure that is used for practical hands-on lab environments.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Internal Instruction & Onboarding (35%):

  • Plan, organize and instruct internal training sessions in coordination with product enhancements
  • Own and Maintain Internal Knowledge base, including content creation
    Define projects pertaining to the training and development of the Technical Services team.
  • Develop and maintain training programs and materials, including syllabus and content.
  • Conduct training on software and systems for new employees and assist the Technical Services management team with professional development for existing team members.
  • Review training requirements and adapt priorities based upon both internal and external needs.
  • Facilitate one-time training or seminar events to be held by internal or external SMEs.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to continuously improve the effectiveness of the content.
  • Stay current in best practices, tools, and applications across the learning and training industry.
  • Ongoing review of education materials by analyzing customer feedback and revisions to course curriculum or as new versions of product are released to ensure continuous course improvements.
  • Update any technical inaccuracies or incompleteness in training materials and documentation.
  • Own the architecture and ongoing maintenance of the virtual lab infrastructure that is used for practical hands-on lab environments.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

  • Ability to lead small groups, run meetings and presentations, create content for presenting, and have strong public speaking skills.

  •  Maintain your own professional development; including continuous learning of new Code42 products/technologies, and communicating experiences and solutions to fellow colleagues.
  • Continually expanding knowledge of related disciplinary areas.
  • Must be able to work with cross functional teams to gain technical information on the products necessary for proficient course delivery.
  • Fluent in the following: Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of the technical fundamentals of the Internet and server administration, such as: SSH, HTTPS, SSL/TLS, TCP/IP, traceroute, and ping
